1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy, a brother: to Philemon, our beloved and fellow labourer;	1 Павло, в’язень Христа Ісуса, та брат Тимотей — Филимонові любому й нашому співробітникові,
2 And to Appia, our dearest sister, and to Archippus, our fellow soldier, and to the church which is in thy house:	2 і сестрі любій Апфії та Архипові, нашому товаришеві боротьби, і твоїй домашній Церкві:
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.	3 благодать вам і мир від Бога, Отця нашого, і Господа Ісуса Христа.
4 I give thanks to my God, always making a remembrance of thee in my prayers.	4 Дякую Богові моєму повсякчас, згадуючи тебе у своїх молитвах,
5 Hearing of thy charity and faith, which thou hast in the Lord Jesus, and towards all the saints:	5 бо чую про любов твою і віру, що її ти маєш супроти Господа Ісуса й супроти всіх святих;
6 That the communication of thy faith may be made evident in the acknowledgment of every good work, that is in you in Christ Jesus.	6 щоб спільність твоєї віри стала діяльною у спізнаванні всякого добра, що є між вами заради Христа.
7 For I have had great joy and consolation in thy charity, because the bowels of the saints have been refreshed by thee, brother.	7 Велику я мав радість і втіху з твоєї любови, бо ти, брате, дав відпочити серцям святих.
8 Wherefore though I have much confidence in Christ Jesus, to command thee that which is to the purpose:	8 Через те я, хоч і маю повну в Христі сміливість тобі наказувати, що маєш робити,
9 For charity sake I rather beseech, whereas thou art such a one, as Paul an old man, and now a prisoner also of Jesus Christ.	9 все ж таки волію тебе просити в любові, — я Павло, старий вже, а тепер ще й в’язень Христа Ісуса.
10 I beseech thee for my son, whom I have begotten in my bands, Onesimus,	10 Благаю тебе про мого сина, що його породив у кайданах, про Онисима,
11 Who hath been heretofore unprofitable to thee, but now is profitable both to me and thee,	11 що колись тобі був непотрібний, тепер же і тобі й мені вельми потрібний.
12 Whom I have sent back to thee. And do thou receive him as my own bowels.	12 Я його тобі повертаю; а ти його прийми, він бо моє серце.
13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered to me in the bands of the gospel:	13 Я хотів його затримати біля себе, щоб він замість тебе служив мені в кайданах Євангелії.
14 But without thy counsel I would do nothing: that thy good deed might not be as it were of necessity, but voluntary.	14 Та без твоєї згоди я нічого не хотів робити, щоб твоє добродійство не було наче з примусу, лише — добровільне.
15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season from thee, that thou mightest receive him again for ever:	15 Можливо, що він на те лиш відлучився на час від тебе, щоб ти прийняв його навіки,
16 Not now as a servant, but instead of a servant, a most dear brother, especially to me: but how much more to thee both in the flesh and in the Lord?	16 і вже не як слугу, але більше, ніж слугу, — як брата любого, яким він є особливо для мене, а ще більше для тебе: і то тілом, і в Господі.
17 If therefore thou count me a partner, receive him as myself.	17 Отож, якщо мене маєш за друга, прийми його, немов мене самого.
18 And if he hath wronged thee in any thing, or is in thy debt, put that to my account.	18 Коли ж він тебе чимсь покривдив чи тобі щось винен, то це зарахуй мені.
19 I Paul have written it with my own hand: I will repay it: not to say to thee, that thou owest me thy own self also.	19 Я, Павло, написав моєю рукою; я тобі сплачу, того тобі не згадуючи, що ти й самого себе мені винен.
20 Yea, brother. May I enjoy thee in the Lord. Refresh my bowels in the Lord.	20 Так воно, брате! Я так хотів би мати в Господі цю послугу від тебе! Заспокой у Христі моє серце!
21 Trusting in thy obedience, I have written to thee: knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.	21 Пишу тобі в повній надії на твою слухняність, певний, що зробиш понад те, що прошу.
22 But withal prepare me also a lodging. For I hope that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.	22 А заразом приготуй мені помешкання: надіюсь бо, що завдяки вашим молитвам буду дарований вам.
23 There salute thee Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus;	23 Вітає тебе Епафр, мій товариш неволі у Христі Ісусі,
24 Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke my fellow labourers.	24 Марко, Аристарх, Димас і Лука — мої співробітники.
25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.	25 Благодать Господа Ісуса Христа з вашим духом! Амінь.
