1 Salmo di Davide, dato al capo de’ Musici, sopra Almut-labben IO celebrerò, o Signore, con tutto il mio cuore; Io narrerò tutte le tue maraviglie.	1 [For the choirmaster On oboe and harp Psalm Of David] I thank you, Yahweh, with my whole heart, Irecount al your wonders,
2 Io mi rallegrerò, e festeggerò in te; Io salmeggerò il tuo Nome, o Altissimo;	2 I rejoice and delight in you, I sing to your name, Most High.
3 Perciocchè i miei nemici hanno volte le spalle; Son caduti, e periti d’innanzi alla tua faccia.	3 My enemies are in retreat, they stumble and perish at your presence,
4 Conciossiachè tu mi abbi fatta ragione e diritto; Tu ti sei posto a sedere sopra il trono, come giusto giudice.	4 for you have given fair judgement in my favour, seated on your throne as upright judge.
5 Tu hai sgridate le nazioni, tu hai distrutto l’empio, Tu hai cancellato il loro nome in sempiterno.	5 You have rebuked the nations, destroyed the wicked, blotted out their name for ever and ever;
6 O nemico, le desolazioni sono finite in perpetuo, E tu hai disfatte le città. È pur perita la memoria di esse.	6 the enemy is wiped out -- mere ruins for ever -- you have annihilated their cities, their memory hasperished. See,
7 Ma il Signore siede in eterno; Egli ha fermato il suo trono per far giudicio.	7 Yahweh is enthroned for ever, keeping his throne firm for judgement;
8 Ed egli giudicherà il mondo in giustizia, Egli renderà giudicio a’ popoli in dirittura.	8 he wil himself judge the world in uprightness, wil give a true verdict on the nations.
9 E il Signore sarà un alto ricetto al misero; Un alto ricetto a’ tempi ch’egli sarà in distretta.	9 May Yahweh be a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble!
10 Laonde, o Signore, quelli che conoscono il Nome tuo si confideranno in te; Perciocchè tu non abbandoni quelli che ti cercano	10 Those who revere your name can rely on you, you never desert those who seek you, Yahweh.
11 Salmeggiate al Signore che abita in Sion; Raccontate fra i popoli i suoi fatti.	11 Sing to Yahweh who dwel s in Zion, tel the nations his mighty deeds,
12 Perciocchè egli ridomanda ragione del sangue, egli se ne ricorda; Egli non dimentica il grido de’ poveri afflitti.	12 for the avenger of blood does not forget them, he does not ignore the cry of the afflicted.
13 Abbi pietà di me, o Signore, Tu che mi tiri in alto dalle porte della morte, Vedi l’afflizione che io soffero da quelli che m’odiano;	13 Have pity on me, Yahweh, see my affliction, pull me back from the gates of death,
14 Acciocchè io racconti tutte le tue lodi Nelle porte della figliuola di Sion, E festeggi della tua liberazione.	14 that I may recount al your praises at the gates of the daughter of Zion and rejoice in your salvation.
15 Le genti sono state affondate nella fossa che avevano fatta; Il lor piè è stato preso nella rete che avevano nascosta.	15 The nations have fal en into the trap they made, their feet caught in the snare they laid.
16 Il Signore è stato conosciuto per lo giudicio ch’egli ha fatto; L’empio è stato allacciato per l’opera delle sue proprie mani. Higgaion; Sela.	16 Yahweh has made himself known, given judgement, he has ensnared the wicked in the work of theirown hands.Muted music Pause
17 Gli empi, tutte le genti che dimenticano Iddio, Andranno in volta nell’inferno.	17 May the wicked turn away to Sheol, al the nations forgetful of God.
18 Perciocchè il povero non sarà dimenticato in sempiterno; La speranza de’ poveri non perirà in perpetuo.	18 For the needy is not forgotten for ever, not for ever does the hope of the poor come to nothing.
19 Levati, o Signore; non lasciar che l’uomo si rinforzi; Sieno giudicate le genti davanti alla tua faccia.	19 Arise, Yahweh; human strength shal not prevail. The nations shal stand trial before you.
20 Signore, metti spavento in loro; Fa’ che le genti conoscano, che non sono altro che uomini. Sela	20 Strike them with terror, Yahweh; the nations shall know that they are no more than human!Pause
