¹ εις το τελος ψαλμος τω δαυιδ	¹ [For the choirmaster On the octachord Psalm Of David] Help, Yahweh! No one loyal is left, the faithfulhave vanished from among the children of Adam.
² εως ποτε κυριε επιληση μου εις τελος εως ποτε αποστρεψεις το προσωπον σου απ' εμου	² Friend tel s lies to friend, and, smooth-tongued, speaks from an insincere heart.
³ εως τινος θησομαι βουλας εν ψυχη μου οδυνας εν καρδια μου ημερας εως ποτε υψωθησεται ο εχθρος μου επ' εμε	³ May Yahweh cut away every smooth lip, every boastful tongue,
⁴ επιβλεψον εισακουσον μου κυριε ο θεος μου φωτισον τους οφθαλμους μου μηποτε υπνωσω εις θανατον	⁴ those who say, 'In our tongue lies our strength, our lips are our al ies; who can master us?'
⁵ μηποτε ειπη ο εχθρος μου ισχυσα προς αυτον οι θλιβοντες με αγαλλιασονται εαν σαλευθω	⁵ 'For the poor who are plundered, the needy who groan, now wil I act,' says Yahweh, 'I wil grantsalvation to those who sigh for it.'
⁶ εγω δε επι τω ελεει σου ηλπισα αγαλλιασεται η καρδια μου επι τω σωτηριω σου ασω τω κυριω τω ευεργετησαντι με και ψαλω τω ονοματι κυριου του υψιστου	⁶ Yahweh's promises are promises unal oyed, natural silver which comes from the earth seven timesrefined.
	⁷ You, Yahweh, wil watch over them, you will protect them from that brood for ever.
	⁸ The wicked wil scatter in every direction, as the height of depravity among the children of Adam.
