1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 « Da' quest'ordine ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: quando sarete entrati nella terra di Canaan ne avrete per mezzo della sorte preso possesso, essa sarà, limitata da questi confini.	2 “Instruct the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: When you will have entered into the land of Canaan, and it has fallen into your possession by lot, it shall be bound by these limits:
3 La parte del mezzogiorno comincerà dal deserto di Sin, vicino a Edom, e avrà per confini ad oriente il mar di Sale,	3 The southern part shall begin from the wilderness of Sin, which is next to Edom, and it shall have the Sea of Salt as a limit to the east.
4 poi girando al mezzodì della salita dello Scorpione, passerà per Senna e si estenderà al mezzogiorno, fino a Cadesbarne, poi continuerà fino al villaggio d'Adar, estendendosi fino ad Asemona,	4 It shall circle on the south side along the ascent of the Scorpion, by this way crossing into Senna, and passing through, from the south, as far as Kadesh-barnea, from which its confines shall go out to the town called Adar, and extend even to Azmon.
5 per girare da Asemona fino al torrente d'Egitto e finire al lido del mare grande.	5 And its limits shall go around from Azmon to the Torrent of Egypt, and shall end at the shore of the Great Sea.
6 La parte occidentale comincerà al Mar grande e finirà allo stesso mare.	6 Then the western region shall begin from the Great Sea, and the same shall be its end.
7 A settentrione i confini cominceranno dal Mar grande e arriveranno fino al monte Altissimo,	7 Furthermore, toward the northern region, its limits shall begin from the Great Sea, passing through even to the highest mountain.
8 poi andranno verso Ernat fino ai confini di Sedada,	8 From there, it limits shall advance into Hamath, as far as the limits of Zedad.
9 e si stenderanno fino a Zefrona e al villaggio di Enan. Questi saranno i confini dalla parte di settentrione.	9 And its confines shall go all the way to Ziphron, and to the village of Enan. These shall be the limits on the northern side.
10 I confini orientali saran tracciati dal villaggio di Enan fino a Sefama.	10 From there, its limits shall be measured, facing the east side, from the village of Enan as far as Shepham.
11 Da Sefama scenderanno a Rebla, di faccia alla fontana di Dafnim, poi si stenderanno ad oriente, fino al mare di Ceneret	11 And from Shepham, the boundaries shall descend into Riblah, opposite the fountain of Daphnis. From there, the boundaries shall pass through, opposite the east, to the Sea of Chinnereth,
12 giungeranno al Giordano e finalmente saran chiusi dal mare di Sale. Tale sarà il vostro territorio coi suoi confini d'ogni parte ».	12 and shall extend as far as the Jordan, and, at the furthest extent, shall be enclosed by the Sea of Salt. You shall have this land, with its borders all around.”
13 E Mose, trasmesso ai Figli d'Israele l'ordine, aggiunse: « Questa sarà la terra, di cui prenderei e possesso a sorte e che il Signore ha ordinato si dia alle nove tribù e mezza,	13 And Moses instructed the sons of Israel, saying: “This shall be the land which you shall possess by lot, and which the Lord has ordered to be given to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe.
14 giacchè la tribù dei figli di Ruben, secondo le sue famiglie, la tribù dei figli di Gad, secondo il numero delle sue parentele, e la metà della tribù di Manasse,	14 For the tribe of the sons of Ruben, by their families, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, according to the number of their kinships, and also one half of the tribe of Manasseh,
15 cioè due tribù e mezza, han già ricevuta la loro parte al di là del Giordano, dirimpetto a Gerico, dal lato d'oriente ».	15 that is, two and a half tribes, have received their portion across the Jordan, opposite Jericho, toward the eastern side.”
16 E il Signore disse a Mosè:	16 And the Lord said to Moses:
17 « Ecco i nomi di coloro che vi divideranno la terra: Eleazaro sacerdote, Giosuè figlio di Nun,	17 “These are the names of the men, who shall divide the land for you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun,
18 e un principe di ciascuna tribù,	18 and one leader from each tribe,
19 i nomi dei quali sono i seguenti: della tribù di Giuda, Caleb figlio di Iefone;	19 whose names are these: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh;
20 della tribù di Simeone, Samuele figlio di Ammiud;	20 from the tribe of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammihud;
21 della tribù di Beniamino, Elidad figlio di Caselon;	21 from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon;
22 della tribù dei figli di Dan, Bocci figlio di Iogli;	22 from the tribe of the sons of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli;
23 dei figli di Giuseppe, per la tribù di Manasse, Hanniel figlio di Efod;	23 of the sons of Joseph, from the tribe of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod;
24 per la tribù di Efraim, Camuel figlio di Seftan;	24 from the tribe of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan;
25 della tribù di Zàbulon, Elisafan figlio di Farnac;	25 from the tribe of Zebulon, Elizaphan the son of Parnach;
26 della tribù di Issacar, il principe Faltiel figlio di Ozan;	26 from the tribe of Issachar, Paltiel the leader, the son of Azzan;
27 della tribù di Aser, Ahiud figlio di Salomi;	27 from the tribe of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi;
28 della tribù di Nettali, Fedael figlio di Ammiud ».	28 from the tribe of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”
29 Questi sono coloro ai quali il Signore comandò di fare la divisione della terra di Canaan tra i figli d'Israele.	29 These are the ones that the Lord has ordered to divide the land of Canaan to the sons of Israel.
