Psalms 45

1 Unto the end. To the sons of Korah, for confidants. A Psalm.	1 - Al corifeo. Dei figliuoli di Core. Per gli arcani. Salmo.
2 Our God is our refuge and strength, a helper in the tribulations that have greatly overwhelmed us.	2 Iddio nostro è rifugio e forza, aiuto nelle tribolazioni che ci colpiscono tanto.
3 Because of this, we will not be afraid when the earth will be turbulent and the mountains will be transferred into the heart of the sea.	3 Perciò non temiamo, si scuota per loro la terra, e precipitino i monti nel cuor del mare,
4 They thundered, and the waters were stirred up among them; the mountains have been disturbed by his strength.	4 rumoreggino e si sconvolgano i suoi flutti, tremino i monti per la sua violenza! [Il Signore delle schiere è con noi, nostro rifugio è il Dio di Giacobbe].
5 The frenzy of the river rejoices the city of God. The Most High has sanctified his tabernacle.	5 Il corso d'un fiume rallegra la città di Dio, [che] l'Altissimo ha consacrato a suo tabernacolo.
6 God is in its midst; it will not be shaken. God will assist it in the early morning.	6 Iddio è in mezzo a lei, essa non vacillerà: la soccorre Iddio da' primi albori del mattino.
7 The peoples have been disturbed, and the kingdoms have been bowed down. He uttered his voice: the earth has been moved.	7 Si turbano i popoli, traballano i regni: e' fa udir la sua voce [e] si sconvolge la terra!
8 The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our supporter.	8 Il Signore delle schiere è con noi, nostro rifugio è il Dio di Giacobbe.
9 Draw near and behold the works of the Lord: what portents he has set upon the earth,	9 Venite, vedete le opere del Signore, quali prodigi e' fa sulla terra!
10 carrying away wars even to the end of the earth. He will crush the bow and break the weapons, and he will burn the shield with fire.	10 Spazza via le guerre sino ai confini della terra: spezza l'arco e rompe le lance, e brucia gli scudi nel fuoco!
11 Be empty, and see that I am God. I will be exalted among the peoples, and I will be exalted upon the earth.	11 «Smettete, [o nemici del mio popolo], e riconoscete ch'io sono Iddio. Eccelso io sono tra le genti, e eccelso sulla terra!».
12 The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our supporter.	12 Il Signore delle schiere è con noi, nostro rifugio è il Dio di Giacobbe.
