Psalmen 50

1 [Ein Psalm Asaphs.] Der Herr, der Gott der Götter, spricht und ruft die Erde an vom Sonnenaufgang bis zum Niedergang.	1 The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
2 Gott erstrahlt von Sion her, der Schönheit Krone.	2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
3 Es naht unser Gott; er schweigt nicht länger. Verzehrendes Feuer zieht vor ihm her, rings um ihn ein gewaltiger Sturm.	3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
4 Dem Himmel droben und der Erde ruft er zu, bereit, sein Volk zu richten:	4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
5 "Schart meine Verehrer um mich, die beim Opfer den Bund mit mir schlossen!"	5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
6 Die Himmel verkünden seine Gerechtigkeit, daß Gott selbst als Richter erscheint. [Zwischenspiel]	6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.
7 "So höre, mein Volk, ich will reden! Israel, ich klage dich an! Ich bin der Herr, dein Gott.	7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.
8 Nicht wegen deiner Schlachtopfer rüge ich dich, sind doch deine Brandopfer stets mir vor Augen.	8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.
9 Ich nehme den Jungstier aus deinem Stall nicht an, nicht Böcke aus deinen Hürden.	9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.
10 Mir gehört ja alles Wild des Waldes, die Tausende von Tieren auf meinen Bergen.	10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
11 Ich kenne alle Vögel des Himmels; was sich regt auf der Flur, ist mein eigen.	11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
12 Hätte ich Hunger, ich müßte es dir nicht sagen; mir gehört ja die Erde und was sie erfüllt.	12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.
13 Esse ich etwa das Fleisch von Stieren, oder trinke ich das Blut der Böcke?	13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14 Bringe Gott Dank als Opfer dar und entrichte dem Höchsten deine Gelübde!	14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
15 Rufe mich an am Tag der Not! Ich werde dich erretten, und du sollst mich ehren!"	15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
16 Zum Frevler aber spricht Gott: "Wieso zählst du meine Gebote auf, führst meinen Bund in deinem Munde?	16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
17 Dabei hassest du doch die Zucht und setzest meine Worte hintan!	17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
18 Siehst du einen Dieb, so freundest du dich mit ihm an, und mit Ehebrechern hältst du Gemeinschaft.	18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.
19 Deinen Mund gebrauchst du zur Schlechtigkeit, deine Zunge hält sich an Täuschung.	19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
20 Gegen deinen Bruder redest du Schändliches, häufst Verleumdung auf den Sohn deiner Mutter.	20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
21 Solches tust du. Würde ich schweigen, so könntest du glauben, ich sei gleich wie du. Ich klage dich an und rücke es dir vor Augen!	21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
22 Merkt euch das, ihr Gottvergessenen! Sonst richte ich ein Blutbad an, und niemand kann retten!	22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
23 Wer Dank als Opfer entrichtet, der ehrt mich, und wer meinen Pfad einhält, dem zeige ich Gottes Heil."	23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
