2 My soul rests in God alone, from whom comes my salvation.	2 Bei Gott allein kommt meine Seele zur Ruhe, von ihm kommt mir Hilfe.
3 God alone is my rock and salvation, my secure height; I shall never fall.	3 Nur er ist mein Fels, meine Hilfe, meine Burg; darum werde ich nicht wanken.
4 How long will you set upon people, all of you beating them down, As though they were a sagging fence or a battered wall?	4 Wie lange rennt ihr an gegen einen Einzigen, stürmt alle heran wie gegen eine fallende Wand, wie gegen eine Mauer, die einstürzt?
5 Even from my place on high they plot to dislodge me. They delight in lies; they bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah	5 Ja, sie planen, ihn von seiner Höhe zu stürzen; Lügen ist ihre Lust. Sie segnen mit ihrem Mund, doch in ihrem Herzen fluchen sie. [Sela]
6 My soul, be at rest in God alone, from whom comes my hope.	6 Bei Gott allein kommt meine Seele zur Ruhe; denn von ihm kommt meine Hoffnung.
7 God alone is my rock and my salvation, my secure height; I shall not fall.	7 Nur er ist mein Fels, meine Hilfe, meine Burg; darum werde ich nicht wanken.
8 My safety and glory are with God, my strong rock and refuge.	8 Bei Gott ist mein Heil, meine Ehre; Gott ist mein schützender Fels, meine Zuflucht.
9 Trust God at all times, my people! Pour out your hearts to God our refuge! Selah	9 Vertrau ihm, Volk (Gottes), zu jeder Zeit! Schüttet euer Herz vor ihm aus! Denn Gott ist unsere Zuflucht. [Sela]
10 Mortals are a mere breath, the powerful but an illusion; On a balance they rise; together they are lighter than air.	10 Nur ein Hauch sind die Menschen, die Leute nur Lug und Trug. Auf der Waage schnellen sie empor, leichter als ein Hauch sind sie alle.
11 Do not trust in extortion; in plunder put no empty hope. Though wealth increase, do not set your heart upon it.	11 Vertraut nicht auf Gewalt, verlasst euch nicht auf Raub! Wenn der Reichtum auch wächst, so verliert doch nicht euer Herz an ihn!
12 One thing God has said; two things I have heard: Power belongs to God;	12 Eines hat Gott gesagt, zweierlei habe ich gehört: Bei Gott ist die Macht;
13 3) so too, Lord, does kindness, And you render to each of us according to our deeds.	13 Herr, bei dir ist die Huld. Denn du wirst jedem vergelten, wie es seine Taten verdienen.
