1 For the leader; al Jeduthun. A psalm of David.	1 Salmo di Davide, dato al capo de’ Musici, sopra i figliuoli di Iedutun. L’ANIMA mia si acqueta in Dio solo; Da lui procede la mia salute.
2 My soul rests in God alone, from whom comes my salvation.	2 Egli solo è la mia rocca e la mia salvezza, Il mio alto ricetto; io non sarò giammai grandemente smosso.
3 God alone is my rock and salvation, my secure height; I shall never fall.	3 Infino a quando vi avventerete sopra un uomo? Voi stessi sarete uccisi tutti quanti; E sarete simili ad una parete chinata, E ad un muricciuolo sospinto.
4 How long will you set upon people, all of you beating them down, As though they were a sagging fence or a battered wall?	4 Essi non consigliano d’altro che di sospinger giù quest’uomo dalla sua altezza; Prendono piacere in menzogna; Benedicono colla lor bocca, Ma maledicono nel loro interiore. Sela.
5 Even from my place on high they plot to dislodge me. They delight in lies; they bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah	5 Anima mia, acquetati in Dio solo; Perciocchè la mia speranza pende da lui.
6 My soul, be at rest in God alone, from whom comes my hope.	6 Egli solo è la mia rocca e la mia salvezza; Egli è il mio alto ricetto, io non sarò giammai smosso.
7 God alone is my rock and my salvation, my secure height; I shall not fall.	7 In Dio è la mia salvezza e la mia gloria; In Dio è la mia forte rocca, il mio ricetto
8 My safety and glory are with God, my strong rock and refuge.	8 Confidatevi in lui, o popolo, in ogni tempo; Spandete i vostri cuori nel suo cospetto; Iddio è la nostra speranza. Sela.
9 Trust God at all times, my people! Pour out your hearts to God our refuge! Selah	9 Gli uomini volgari non sono altro che vanità, E i nobili altro che menzogna; Se fosser messi in bilance, Tutti insieme sarebbero più leggieri che la vanità stessa.
10 Mortals are a mere breath, the powerful but an illusion; On a balance they rise; together they are lighter than air.	10 Non vi confidate in oppressione, Nè in rapina; non datevi alla vanità; Se le ricchezze abbondano, Non vi mettete il cuore.
11 Do not trust in extortion; in plunder put no empty hope. Though wealth increase, do not set your heart upon it.	11 Iddio ha parlato una volta, E due volte ho udito lo stesso; Che ogni forza appartiene a Dio;
12 One thing God has said; two things I have heard: Power belongs to God;	12 E che a te, Signore, appartiene la benignità; Perciocchè tu renderai la retribuzione a ciascuno secondo le sue opere
13 3) so too, Lord, does kindness, And you render to each of us according to our deeds.
