1 A song of ascents. LORD, remember David and all his anxious care;	1 Canción de las subidas. Acuérdate, Yahveh, en favor de David, de todos sus desvelos,
2 How he swore an oath to the LORD, vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:	2 del juramento que hizo a Yahveh, de su voto al Fuerte de Jacob:
3 "I will not enter the house where I live, nor lie on the couch where I sleep;	3 «No he de entrar bajo el techo de mi casa, no he de subir al lecho en que reposo,
4 I will give my eyes no sleep, my eyelids no rest,	4 sueño a mis ojos no he de conceder ni quietud a mis párpados,
5 Till I find a home for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob."	5 mientras no encuentre un lugar para Yahveh, una Morada para el Fuerte de Jacob».
6 "We have heard of it in Ephrathah; we have found it in the fields of Jaar.	6 Mirad: hemos oído de Ella que está en Efratá, ¡la hemos encontrado en los Campos del Bosque!
7 Let us enter God's dwelling; let us worship at God's footstool."	7 ¡Vayamos a la Morada de él, ante el estrado de sus pies postrémonos!
8 "Arise, LORD, come to your resting place, you and your majestic ark.	8 ¡Levántate, Yahveh, hacia tu reposo, tú y el arca de tu fuerza!
9 Your priests will be clothed with justice; your faithful will shout for joy."	9 Tus sacerdotes se vistan de justicia, griten de alegría tus amigos.
10 For the sake of David your servant, do not reject your anointed.	10 En gracia a David, tu servidor, no rechaces el rostro de tu ungido.
11 The LORD swore an oath to David, a pledge never to be broken: "Your own offspring I will set upon your throne.	11 Juró Yahveh a David, verdad que no retractará: «El fruto de tu seno asentaré en tu trono.
12 If your sons observe my covenant, the laws I shall teach them, Their sons, in turn, shall sit forever on your throne."	12 «Si tus hijos guardan mi alianza, el dictamen que yo les enseño, también sus hijos para siempre se sentarán sobre tu trono».
13 Yes, the LORD has chosen Zion, desired it for a dwelling:	13 Porque Yahveh ha escogido a Sión, la ha querido como sede para sí:
14 "This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I desire it.	14 «Aquí está mi reposo para siempre, en él me sentaré, pues lo he querido.
15 I will bless Zion with meat; its poor I will fill with bread.	15 «Sus provisiones bendeciré sin tasa, a sus pobres hartaré de pan,
16 I will clothe its priests with blessing; its faithful shall shout for joy.	16 de salvación vestiré a sus sacerdotes, y sus amigos gritarán de júbilo.
17 There I will make a horn sprout for David's line; I will set a lamp for my anointed.	17 «Allí suscitaré a David un fuerte vástago, aprestaré una lámpara a mi ungido;
18 His foes I will clothe with shame, but on him my crown shall gleam."	18 de vergüenza cubriré a sus enemigos, y sobre él brillará su diadema».
