1 למנצח מזמור לדוד חלצני יהוה מאדם רע מאיש חמסים תנצרני	1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] Rescue me, Yahweh, from evil men, protect me from violentmen,
2 אשר חשבו רעות בלב כל יום יגורו מלחמות	2 whose heart is bent on malice, day after day they harbour strife;
3 שננו לשונם כמו נחש חמת עכשוב תחת שפתימו סלה	3 their tongues as barbed as a serpent's, viper's venom behind their lips.Pause
4 שמרני יהוה מידי רשע מאיש חמסים תנצרני אשר חשבו לדחות פעמי	4 Keep me, Yahweh, from the clutches of the wicked, protect me from violent men, who are bent onmaking me stumble,laying out snares where I walk,
5 טמנו גאים פח לי וחבלים פרשו רשת ליד מעגל מקשים שתו לי סלה	5 in their arrogance hiding pitfal and nooseto trap me as I pass.Pause
6 אמרתי ליהוה אלי אתה האזינה יהוה קול תחנוני	6 I said to Yahweh, 'You are my God.' Listen, Yahweh, to the sound of my prayer.
7 יהוה אדני עז ישועתי סכתה לראשי ביום נשק	7 Yahweh my Lord, my saving strength, you shield my head when battle comes.
8 אל תתן יהוה מאויי רשע זממו אל תפק ירומו סלה	8 Yahweh, do not grant the wicked their wishes, do not let their plots succeed.Pause Do not let myattackers
9 ראש מסבי עמל שפתימו יכסומו	9 prevail, but let them be overwhelmed by their own malice.
10 ימיטו עליהם גחלים באש יפלם במהמרות בל יקומו	10 May red-hot embers rain down on them, may they be flung into the mire once and for all.
11 איש לשון בל יכון בארץ איש חמס רע יצודנו למדחפת	11 May the slanderer find no rest anywhere, may evil hunt down violent men implacably.
12 ידעת כי יעשה יהוה דין עני משפט אבינים	12 I know that Yahweh wil give judgement for the wretched, justice for the needy.
13 אך צדיקים יודו לשמך ישבו ישרים את פניך	13 The upright shal praise your name, the honest dwel in your presence.
