1 Von David, ein Psalm.Dem HERRN gehört die Erde und ihre Fülle,der Erdkreis und seine Bewohner;	1 The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 denn er hat auf Meeren (= dem Weltmeer) sie gegründetund über Strömen sie festgestellt.	2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3 Wer darf hinaufgehn zum Berge des HERRN,wer stehen an seiner heiligen Stätte?	3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 Wer schuldlos ist an Händen und reinen Herzens,wer nie den Sinn auf Täuschung richtet,und wer nicht betrügerisch schwört:	4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 der wird Segen empfangen vom HERRNund Gerechtigkeit (oder: Gerechtsprechung) vom Gott seines Heils.	5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 Dies ist das Geschlecht, das nach ihm verlangt,die dein Angesicht suchen, Gott Jakobs. SELA.	6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
7 Hebt hoch, ihr Tore, eure Häupterund öffnet euch weit, ihr uralten Pforten,daß der König der Herrlichkeit (oder: Ehren) einziehe!	7 Lift up your head, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 »Wer ist denn der König der Herrlichkeit (oder: Ehren)?«Der HERR, gar stark und ein Held,der HERR, ein Held in der Schlacht!	8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
9 Hebt hoch, ihr Tore, eure Häupterund öffnet euch weit, ihr uralten Pforten,daß der König der Herrlichkeit (oder: Ehren) einziehe!	9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10 »Wer ist denn der König der Herrlichkeit (oder: Ehren)?«Der HERR der Heerscharen,der ist der König der Herrlichkeit (oder: Ehren)! SELA.	10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
