1 Halleluja!Preiset den Namen des HERRN,preist ihn, ihr Diener des HERRN,	1 Alleluia. Confess to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy is eternal.
2 die ihr stehet im Hause des HERRN,in den Höfen am Haus unsers Gottes!	2 Confess to the God of gods, for his mercy is eternal.
3 Preiset den HERRN, denn gütig ist der HERR;lobsingt seinem Namen, denn lieblich ist er!	3 Confess to the Lord of lords, for his mercy is eternal.
4 Denn Jakob hat der HERR sich erwähltund Israel sich zum Eigentum erkoren.	4 He alone performs great miracles, for his mercy is eternal.
5 Ja, ich weiß es: groß ist der HERR,und unser Gott steht über allen Göttern;	5 He made the heavens with understanding, for his mercy is eternal.
6 alles, was dem HERRN gefällt, das führt er ausim Himmel und auf Erden, in den Meeren und allen Tiefen.	6 He established the earth above the waters, for his mercy is eternal.
7 Er ist’s, der Wolken heraufführt vom Ende der Erde,der Blitze bei Gewitterregen schafft,der den Wind aus seinen Speichern herausläßt.	7 He made the great lights, for his mercy is eternal:
8 Er war’s, der Ägyptens Erstgeburten schlugunter Menschen wie beim Vieh;	8 the sun to rule the day, for his mercy is eternal:
9 der Zeichen und Wunder sandte in deine Mitte, Ägypten,gegen den Pharao und all seine Knechte.	9 the moon and the stars to rule the night, for his mercy is eternal.
10 Er war’s, der viele (oder: große) Völker schlugund mächtige Könige tötete:	10 He struck Egypt along with their first-born, for his mercy is eternal.
11 Sihon, den König der Amoriter,und Og, den König von Basan,und alle Königreiche Kanaans,	11 He led Israel away from their midst, for his mercy is eternal:
12 und ihr Land als Erbbesitz hingab,als Erbe seinem Volke Israel.	12 with a powerful hand and an outstretched arm, for his mercy is eternal.
13 O HERR, dein Name währt ewig,dein Gedächtnis (oder: Ruhm), o HERR, von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht	13 He divided the Red Sea into separate parts, for his mercy is eternal.
14 denn der HERR schafft Recht seinem Volkund erbarmt sich über seine Knechte.	14 And he led out Israel through the middle of it, for his mercy is eternal.
15 Die Götzen der Heiden sind Silber und Gold,das Machwerk von Menschenhänden;	15 And he shook off Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, for his mercy is eternal.
16 sie haben einen Mund und können nicht reden,haben Augen und sehen nicht;	16 He led his people through the desert, for his mercy is eternal.
17 sie haben Ohren und können nicht hören,auch ist kein Odem in ihrem Munde.	17 He has struck great kings, for his mercy is eternal.
