Der Brief an die Galater 6

EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Wenn einer sich zu einer Verfehlung hinreißen lässt, meine Brüder, so sollt ihr, die ihr vom Geist erfüllt seid, ihn im Geist der Sanftmut wieder auf den rechten Weg bringen. Doch gib Acht, dass du nicht selbst in Versuchung gerätst.	1 Brothers, even if one of you is caught doing something wrong, those of you who are spiritual should setthat person right in a spirit of gentleness; and watch yourselves that you are not put to the test in the same way.
2 Einer trage des anderen Last; so werdet ihr das Gesetz Christi erfüllen.	2 Carry each other's burdens; that is how to keep the law of Christ.
3 Wer sich einbildet, etwas zu sein, obwohl er nichts ist, der betrügt sich.	3 Someone who thinks himself important, when he is not, only deceives himself;
4 Jeder prüfe sein eigenes Tun. Dann wird er sich nur im Blick auf sich selbst rühmen können, nicht aber im Vergleich mit anderen.	4 but everyone is to examine his own achievements, and then he wil confine his boasting to his ownachievements, not comparing them with anybody else's.
5 Denn jeder wird seine eigene Bürde zu tragen haben.	5 Each one has his own load to carry.
6 Wer im Evangelium unterrichtet wird, lasse seinen Lehrer an allem teilhaben, was er besitzt.	6 When someone is under instruction in doctrine, he should give his teacher a share in al hispossessions.
7 Täuscht euch nicht: Gott lässt keinen Spott mit sich treiben; was der Mensch sät, wird er ernten.	7 Don't delude yourself: God is not to be fooled; whatever someone sows, that is what he wil reap.
8 Wer im Vertrauen auf das Fleisch sät, wird vom Fleisch Verderben ernten; wer aber im Vertrauen auf den Geist sät, wird vom Geist ewiges Leben ernten.	8 If his sowing is in the field of self-indulgence, then his harvest from it wil be corruption; if his sowing is inthe Spirit, then his harvest from the Spirit wil be eternal life.
9 Lasst uns nicht müde werden, das Gute zu tun; denn wenn wir darin nicht nachlassen, werden wir ernten, sobald die Zeit dafür gekommen ist.	9 And let us never slacken in doing good; for if we do not give up, we shal have our harvest in due time.
10 Deshalb wollen wir, solange wir noch Zeit haben, allen Menschen Gutes tun, besonders aber denen, die mit uns im Glauben verbunden sind.	10 So then, as long as we have the opportunity let al our actions be for the good of everybody, andespecial y of those who belong to the household of the faith.
11 Seht, ich schreibe euch jetzt mit eigener Hand; das ist meine Schrift.	11 Notice what large letters I have used in writing to you with my own hand.
12 Jene Leute, die in der Welt nach Anerkennung streben, nötigen euch nur deshalb zur Beschneidung, damit sie wegen des Kreuzes Christi nicht verfolgt werden.	12 It is those who want to cut a figure by human standards who force circumcision on you, simply so thatthey will not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.
13 Denn obwohl sie beschnitten sind, halten sie nicht einmal selber das Gesetz; dennoch dringen sie auf eure Beschneidung, um sich dessen zu rühmen, was an eurem Fleisch geschehen soll.	13 Even though they are circumcised they stil do not keep the Law themselves; they want you to becircumcised only so that they can boast of your outward appearance.
14 Ich aber will mich allein des Kreuzes Jesu Christi, unseres Herrn, rühmen, durch das mir die Welt gekreuzigt ist und ich der Welt.	14 But as for me, it is out of the question that I should boast at al , except of the cross of our Lord JesusChrist, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
15 Denn es kommt nicht darauf an, ob einer beschnitten oder unbeschnitten ist, sondern darauf, dass er neue Schöpfung ist.	15 It is not being circumcised or uncircumcised that matters; but what matters is a new creation.
16 Friede und Erbarmen komme über alle, die sich von diesem Grundsatz leiten lassen, und über das Israel Gottes.	16 Peace and mercy to al who fol ow this as their rule and to the Israel of God.
17 In Zukunft soll mir niemand mehr solche Schwierigkeiten bereiten. Denn ich trage die Zeichen Jesu an meinem Leib.	17 After this, let no one trouble me; I carry branded on my body the marks of Jesus.
18 Die Gnade Jesu Christi, unseres Herrn, sei mit eurem Geist, meine Brüder. Amen.	18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, my brothers. Amen.
