EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Angenommen, jemand sündigt in einem der folgenden Fälle: er hat eine laute Verfluchung gehört, ist Zeuge, da er es gesehen oder darum gewusst hat, aber er zeigt es nicht an und lädt damit Schuld auf sich;	1 ' "If someone sins in any of these fol owing cases: "He should have come forward to give evidence whenhe heard the formal adjuration, having seen the incident or known the facts; but he has not spoken out, and sobears the consequences of his guilt;
2 oder jemand berührt eine unreine Sache, das Aas eines unreinen wilden Tieres oder eines unreinen Haustiers oder eines unreinen Kriechtiers und es blieb ihm verborgen, aber er merkt es dann und wird unrein und schuldig;	2 "or someone touches something unclean, whatever it may be -- the dead body of an unclean animal,wild or tame, or of one of the unclean reptiles -- and without realising it becomes unclean, he becomesanswerable for it;
3 oder er berührt etwas Unreines von einem Menschen, dessen Berührung unrein macht, und bemerkt es nicht, aber er erfährt es später und wird schuldig;	3 "or he touches some human uncleanness, whatever it may be, contact with which makes him unclean;he does not notice it, then, realising it later, he becomes answerable for it;
4 oder jemand schwört unbesonnen, ob zum Schaden oder zum Nutzen, wie eben der Mensch bisweilen unbesonnen schwört, aber er merkt es gar nicht, doch dann erfährt er es und wird schuldig durch so etwas -	4 "or someone lets slip an oath to do something either evil or good, in any of those matters on whichsomeone may let slip an oath; he does not notice it, then, realising it later, he becomes answerable for it;
5 wenn also jemand in einem dieser Fälle schuldig wird, so soll er gestehen, wodurch er sich verfehlt hat.	5 "if he is answerable in any of those cases, he wil have to confess the sin committed.
6 Als Schuldopfer für seine begangene Verfehlung soll er dann ein weibliches Stück Kleinvieh, ein Schaf oder eine Ziege, vor den Herrn als Sündopfer bringen und der Priester soll ihn entsühnen und so von seiner Verfehlung lösen.	6 As a sacrifice of reparation for the sin committed, he wil bring Yahweh a female from the flock (sheep orgoat) as a sacrifice for sin; and the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for him to free him from his sin.
7 Wenn seine Mittel für ein Schaf nicht ausreichen, soll er als Schuldopfer für seine Verfehlung zwei Turteltauben oder zwei junge Tauben vor den Herrn bringen, die eine als Sünd- und die andere als Brandopfer.	7 "If he cannot afford an animal from the flock as a sacrifice of reparation for the sin he has committed, hewil bring Yahweh two turtledoves or two young pigeons -- one as a sacrifice for sin and the other as a burntoffering.
8 Er soll sie zum Priester bringen und dieser soll zuerst die eine für das Sündopfer darbringen. Er soll ihren Kopf vom Genick trennen, aber nicht ganz abreißen;	8 He wil bring them to the priest who wil first offer the one intended for the sacrifice for sin. The priest wilwring its neck but not remove the head.
9 er soll etwas vom Blut des Sündopfers gegen die Altarwand spritzen und das übrige Blut am Sockel des Altars auspressen. Ein Sündopfer ist das.	9 He wil sprinkle the side of the altar with the victim's blood, and then squeeze out the rest of the blood atthe foot of the altar. This is a sacrifice for sin.
10 Die zweite Taube soll er, wie vorgeschrieben, als Brandopfer darbringen. Der Priester soll ihn entsühnen und von der Sünde, die er begangen hat, lösen; dann wird ihm vergeben werden.	10 He will then offer the other bird as a burnt offering according to the ritual. This is how the priest mustperform the rite of expiation for the person for the sin he has committed, and he will be forgiven.
11 Falls seine Mittel für zwei Turteltauben oder zwei junge Tauben nicht ausreichen, soll er als Opfergabe für seine Verfehlung ein Zehntel Efa Feinmehl darbringen, aber weder Öl noch Weihrauch darauftun, denn es ist ein Sündopfer.	11 "If he cannot afford two turtledoves or two young pigeons, he will bring a tenth of an ephah of wheatenflour as an offering for the sin committed; he must not mix oil with it or put incense on it, since this is a sacrificefor sin.
12 Er bringe es dem Priester, der davon eine Hand voll nimmt und als Gedächtnisanteil auf dem Altar mit den Feueropfern des Herrn in Rauch aufgehen lässt. Ein Sündopfer ist das.	12 He will bring it to the priest, who wil take a handful of it as a memorial, and burn this on the altar inaddition to the offerings of food burnt for Yahweh. This is a sacrifice for sin.
13 Der Priester soll ihn so für die von ihm in einem dieser Fälle begangene Verfehlung entsühnen und es wird ihm vergeben werden. Dem Priester gehört das Gleiche wie beim Speiseopfer.	13 This is how the priest must perform the rite of expiation for the person for the sin he has committed inany of those cases, and he wil be forgiven. In this case, the priest has the same rights as in the case of a cerealoffering." '
14 Der Herr sprach zu Mose:	14 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
15 Wenn jemand sich verfehlt und sich ohne Vorsatz an Dingen vergeht, die dem Herrn heilig sind, soll er als Schuldopfer für den Herrn von seiner Herde einen fehlerlosen Widder bringen, der in Silberschekel nach dem Schekelgewicht des Heiligtums zu schätzen ist.	15 'If someone is unfaithful and sins inadvertently by infringing Yahweh's sacred rights, as a sacrifice ofreparation he must bring Yahweh an unblemished ram from his flock, the value of which wil be decided by youin silver shekels according to the rate of the sanctuary-shekel.
16 Wenn er sich am Heiligen verfehlt hat, soll er Ersatz leisten und noch ein Fünftel des Wertes hinzufügen. Er soll es dem Priester geben und dieser soll ihn mit dem Schuldopferwidder entsühnen; dann wird ihm vergeben werden.	16 He will make amends for what his sin subtracted from the sacred rights, adding one-fifth to the value,and give it to the priest. The priest wil then perform the rite of expiation for him with the ram for the sacrifice ofreparation and he wil be forgiven.
17 Wenn jemand sich verfehlt und etwas tut, was der Herr verboten hat, es nicht bemerkt, aber dann schuldig wird, soll er die Folgen seiner Schuld tragen.	17 'If someone sins and without realising it does one of the things forbidden by Yahweh'scommandments, he will answer for it and bear the consequences of his guilt.
18 Er soll als Schuldopfer einen fehlerlosen Widder von seiner Herde nach dem üblichen Schätzwert zum Priester bringen und dieser soll ihn für seine unabsichtliche Verfehlung, die er ohne Vorsatz begangen hat, entsühnen; dann wird ihm vergeben werden.	18 As a sacrifice of reparation he must bring the priest an unblemished ram from his flock to the valuewhich you decide, and the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for him for the oversight unwittingly committed,and he wil be forgiven.
19 Ein Schuldopfer ist das; der Betreffende hat sich tatsächlich vor dem Herrn schuldig gemacht.	19 This is a sacrifice of reparation; the man was certainly answerable to Yahweh.'
20 Der Herr sprach zu Mose:	20 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
21 Wenn jemand sündigt und eine Veruntreuung gegen den Herrn begeht, indem er einen aus seinem Volk über anvertrautes oder hinterlegtes oder geraubtes Gut täuscht oder ihn übervorteilt	21 'If someone sins and is unfaithful against Yahweh by deceiving his fel ow-countryman over a deposit ora security, or by withholding something due to him or by exploiting him;
22 oder verlorenes Gut findet und es leugnet oder einen Meineid leistet hinsichtlich irgendeiner Sünde, die ein Mensch begehen kann,	22 'or if he finds lost property and denies it; 'or if he perjures himself about anything that a human beingmay do criminal y in such matters;
23 wenn er also auf solche Weise sündigt und schuldig wird, muss er das, was er geraubt oder durch Übervorteilung gewonnen hat oder was ihm anvertraut wurde, oder das Verlorene, das er gefunden hat, zurückgeben	23 'if he sins and so becomes answerable, he must restore what he has taken or demanded in excess:the deposit confided to him, the lost property that he has found,
24 oder er muss den Schaden, den er durch den Meineid angerichtet hat, wieder gutmachen; am Tag seines Schuldopfers erstatte er dem Geschädigten den um ein Fünftel vermehrten Wert.	24 or any object about which he has perjured himself. He will add one-fifth to the principal and pay thewhole to the person who held the property rights on the day when he incurred the guilt.
25 Er soll einen fehlerlosen Widder von seiner Herde nach dem üblichen Schätzwert als sein Schuldopfer vor den Herrn zum Priester bringen	25 He will then bring Yahweh an unblemished ram from his flock to the value which you decide, to thepriest as a sacrifice of reparation,
26 und dieser soll ihn vor dem Herrn entsühnen; dann wird ihm jede Tat vergeben werden, durch die er sich schuldig gemacht hat.	26 and the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for him before Yahweh and he will be forgiven, whateverthe act by which he incurred guilt.'
