1 Du sollst kein leeres Gerücht verbreiten. Biete deine Hand nicht dem, der Unrecht hat, indem du als falscher Zeuge auftrittst.	1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
2 Du sollst dich nicht der Mehrheit anschließen, wenn sie im Unrecht ist, und sollst in einem Rechtsverfahren nicht so aussagen, dass du dich der Mehrheit fügst und das Recht beugst.	2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
3 Du sollst auch den Geringen in seinem Rechtsstreit nicht begünstigen.	3 Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.
4 Wenn du dem verirrten Rind oder dem Esel deines Feindes begegnest, sollst du ihm das Tier zurückbringen.	4 If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.
5 Wenn du siehst, wie der Esel deines Gegners unter der Last zusammenbricht, dann lass ihn nicht im Stich, sondern leiste ihm Hilfe!	5 If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.
6 Du sollst das Recht des Armen in seinem Rechtsstreit nicht beugen.	6 Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.
7 Von einem unlauteren Verfahren sollst du dich fern halten. Wer unschuldig und im Recht ist, den bring nicht um sein Leben; denn ich spreche den Schuldigen nicht frei.	7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
8 Du sollst dich nicht bestechen lassen; denn Bestechung macht Sehende blind und verkehrt die Sache derer, die im Recht sind.	8 And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
9 Einen Fremden sollst du nicht ausbeuten. Ihr wisst doch, wie es einem Fremden zumute ist; denn ihr selbst seid in Ägypten Fremde gewesen.	9 Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
10 Sechs Jahre kannst du in deinem Land säen und die Ernte einbringen;	10 And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:
11 im siebten sollst du es brach liegen lassen und nicht bestellen. Die Armen in deinem Volk sollen davon essen, den Rest mögen die Tiere des Feldes fressen. Das Gleiche sollst du mit deinem Weinberg und deinen Ölbäumen tun.	11 But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.
12 Sechs Tage kannst du deine Arbeit verrichten, am siebten Tag aber sollst du ruhen, damit dein Rind und dein Esel ausruhen und der Sohn deiner Sklavin und der Fremde zu Atem kommen.	12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.
13 Auf alles, was ich euch gesagt habe, sollt ihr achten. Den Namen eines anderen Gottes sollt ihr nicht aussprechen, er soll dir nicht über die Lippen kommen.	13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.
14 Dreimal im Jahr sollst du mir ein Fest feiern.	14 Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.
15 Du sollst das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote halten. Im Monat Abib sollst du zur festgesetzten Zeit sieben Tage lang ungesäuertes Brot essen, wie ich es dir geboten habe. Denn in diesem Monat bist du aus Ägypten ausgezogen. Man soll nicht mit leeren Händen vor mir erscheinen.	15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)
16 Du sollst auch das Fest der Ernte, des ersten Ertrags deiner Aussaat auf dem Feld, halten, ebenso das Fest der Lese am Ende des Jahres, wenn du den Ertrag deines Feldes eingebracht hast.	16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
17 Dreimal im Jahr sollen alle deine Männer vor dem Herrn erscheinen.	17 Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.
18 Beim Schlachten sollst du das Blut meines Opfers nicht über gesäuertes Brot fließen lassen. Das Fett meines Festopfers darf nicht bis zum Morgen liegen bleiben.	18 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.
19 Von den Erstlingsfrüchten deines Ackers sollst du die besten in das Haus des Herrn, deines Gottes, bringen. Das Junge einer Ziege sollst du nicht in der Milch seiner Mutter kochen.	19 The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
20 Ich werde einen Engel schicken, der dir vorausgeht. Er soll dich auf dem Weg schützen und dich an den Ort bringen, den ich bestimmt habe.	20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21 Achte auf ihn und hör auf seine Stimme! Widersetz dich ihm nicht! Er würde es nicht ertragen, wenn ihr euch auflehnt; denn in ihm ist mein Name gegenwärtig.	21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
22 Wenn du auf seine Stimme hörst und alles tust, was ich sage, dann werde ich der Feind deiner Feinde sein und alle in die Enge treiben, die dich bedrängen.	22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
23 Wenn mein Engel dir vorausgeht und dich in das Land der Amoriter, Hetiter, Perisiter, Kanaaniter, Hiwiter und Jebusiter führt und wenn ich sie verschwinden lasse,	23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
24 dann sollst du dich vor ihren Göttern nicht niederwerfen und dich nicht verpflichten, ihnen zu dienen. Du sollst keine Kultgegenstände herstellen wie sie, sondern sie zerstören und ihre Steinmale zerschlagen.	24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
25 Wenn ihr dem Herrn, eurem Gott, dient, wird er dein Brot und dein Wasser segnen. Ich werde Krankheiten von dir fern halten.	25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
26 In deinem Land wird es keine Frau geben, die eine Fehlgeburt hat oder kinderlos bleibt. Ich lasse dich die volle Zahl deiner Lebenstage erreichen.	26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
27 Ich sende meinen Schrecken vor dir her, ich verwirre jedes Volk, zu dem du kommst, und alle deine Feinde lasse ich vor dir die Flucht ergreifen.	27 I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
28 Ich lasse vor dir Panik ausbrechen; sie wird die Hiwiter, Kanaaniter und Hetiter vor dir hertreiben.	28 And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
29 Ich vertreibe sie aber nicht gleich im ersten Jahr; sonst verödet das Land und die wilden Tiere könnten zu deinem Schaden überhand nehmen.	29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
30 Nur allmählich will ich sie vor dir zurückdrängen, bis du so zahlreich geworden bist, dass du das Land in Besitz nehmen kannst.	30 By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.
31 Ich setze deine Landesgrenzen fest vom Schilfmeer bis zum Philistermeer, von der Wüste bis zum Strom. Wenn ich die Einwohner des Landes in deine Hand gebe und du sie vertreibst,	31 And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
32 dann sollst du keinen Bund mit ihnen und ihren Göttern schließen.	32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
33 Sie sollen nicht in deinem Land bleiben. Sonst könnten sie dich zur Sünde gegen mich verführen, sodass du ihre Götter verehrst; denn dann würde dir das zu einer Falle.	33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.
