1 This is the book of the generation of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him to the likeness of God.	1 Voici le livre de la descendance d’Adam. Le jour où Dieu créa l’homme, il le créa à la ressemblance de Dieu;
2 He created them male and female; and blessed them: and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.	2 homme et femme il les créa; il les bénit et leur donna le nom d’Adam (c’est-à-dire Homme) le jour où ils furent créés.
3 And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot a son to his own image and likeness, and called his name Seth.	3 Adam avait 130 ans quand il engendra un fils à sa ressemblance, à son image; il lui donna le nom de Seth.
4 And the days of Adam, after he begot Seth, were eight hundred years: and he begot sons and daughters.	4 Après la naissance de Seth, Adam vécut encore 800 ans, il engendra des fils et des filles.
5 And all the time that Adam lived came to nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.	5 La vie d’Adam atteignit au total 930 ans, après quoi il mourut.
6 Seth also lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enos.	6 Seth avait 105 ans quand il engendra Énos.
7 And Seth lived after he begot Enos, eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.	7 Après la naissance d’Énos, Seth vécut encore 807 ans, il engendra des fils et des filles.

22 And Henoch walked with God: and lived after he begot Mathusala, three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.	22 Hénok marcha avec Dieu. Après la naissance de Mathusalem, Hénok vécut encore 300 ans, il engendra des fils et des filles.
23 And all the days of Henoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.	23 La vie de Hénok fut de 365 ans.
24 And he walked with God, and was seen no more: because God took him.	24 Hénok marcha avec Dieu, puis il disparut, car Dieu l’avait emporté.
25 And Mathusala lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech.	25 Mathusalem avait 187 ans quand il engendra Lamek.
26 And Mathusala lived after he begot Lamech, seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters.	26 Après la naissance de Lamek, Mathusalem vécut encore 782 ans, il engendra des fils et des filles.
27 And all the days of Mathusala were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.	27 La vie de Mathusalem atteignit 969 ans en tout, après quoi il mourut.
28 And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son.	28 Lamek avait 182 ans quand il engendra un fils.
29 And he called his name Noe, saying: This same shall comfort us from the works and labours of our hands on the earth which the Lord hath cursed.	29 Il lui donna le nom de Noé car, dit-il, “Il nous consolera du travail et de la peine de nos mains pour ce sol que Yahvé a maudit.”
30 And Lamech lived after he begot Noe, five hundred and ninety-five years, and he begot sons and daughters.	30 Après la naissance de Noé, Lamek vécut encore 595 ans, il engendra des fils et des filles.
31 And all the days of Lamech came to seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died. And Noe, when he was five hundred years old, begot Sem, Cham, and Japheth.	31 La vie de Lamek atteignit 777 ans en tout, après quoi il mourut.
	32 Noé avait 500 ans quand il engendra Sem, Kam et Japhet.
