1 Salmo di Davide dato al capo dei Musici. RISCUOTIMI, o Signore, dall’uomo malvagio; Guardami dall’uomo violento;	1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] Rescue me, Yahweh, from evil men, protect me from violentmen,
2 I quali macchinano de’ mali nel cuore, E tuttodì muovono guerre.	2 whose heart is bent on malice, day after day they harbour strife;
3 Aguzzano la lor lingua come il serpente; Veleno d’aspido è sotto alle lor labbra. Sela.	3 their tongues as barbed as a serpent's, viper's venom behind their lips.Pause
4 Preservami, o Signore, dalle mani dell’empio; Guardami dall’uomo violento; Che hanno macchinato di far cadere i miei piedi.	4 Keep me, Yahweh, from the clutches of the wicked, protect me from violent men, who are bent onmaking me stumble,laying out snares where I walk,
5 I superbi mi hanno nascosto un laccio, e delle funi; Mi hanno tesa una rete sul sentiero; Mi hanno poste delle trappole. Sela.	5 in their arrogance hiding pitfal and nooseto trap me as I pass.Pause

8 O Signore, non concedere agli empi ciò che desiderano; Non dar compimento a’ lor disegni, onde s’innalzino. Sela.	8 Yahweh, do not grant the wicked their wishes, do not let their plots succeed.Pause Do not let myattackers
9 Fa’ che la perversità delle labbra Di coloro che m’intorniano copra loro la testa.	9 prevail, but let them be overwhelmed by their own malice.
10 Caggiano loro addosso carboni accesi; Trabocchili Iddio nel fuoco. In fosse profonde, onde non possano risorgere.	10 May red-hot embers rain down on them, may they be flung into the mire once and for all.
11 Non sia l’uomo maldicente stabilito in terra; Il male cacci l’uomo violento in precipizii.	11 May the slanderer find no rest anywhere, may evil hunt down violent men implacably.
12 Io so che il Signore farà ragione all’afflitto, E diritto a’ poveri.	12 I know that Yahweh wil give judgement for the wretched, justice for the needy.
13 Certo, i giusti celebreranno il tuo Nome; Gli uomini diritti abiteranno appresso alla tua faccia	13 The upright shal praise your name, the honest dwel in your presence.
