BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 (Laude a cantico. Di David). Chi riposa nell'aiuto dell'Altissimo vivrà sotto la protezione del Dio del cielo.	1 [Prayer Of Moses, man of God] Lord, you have been our refuge from age to age.
2 Dirà al Signore: « Tu sei il mio protettore, il mio rifugio. E' il mio Dio: in lui la mia speranza.	2 Before the mountains were born, before the earth and the world came to birth, from eternity to eternityyou are God.
3 Egli mi liberò dal laccio dei cacciatori e dalle aspre parole ».	3 You bring human beings to the dust, by saying, 'Return, children of Adam.'
4 Ti coprirà colle sue ali e sotto le sue penne troverai rifugio.	4 A thousand years are to you like a yesterday which has passed, like a watch of the night.
5 La sua verità ti circonderà come scudo, non temerai i notturni spaventi,	5 You flood them with sleep -- in the morning they wil be like growing grass:
6 Nè saetta che vola di giorno, nè male che s'insinua fra le tenebre, nè assalto del demonio del mezzogiorno.	6 in the morning it is blossoming and growing, by evening it is withered and dry.
7 Ne cadran mille al tuo fianco e dieci mila alla tua destra, ma a te non s'avvicineranno.	7 For we have been destroyed by your wrath, dismayed by your anger.
8 Però guardando coi tuoi propri occhi vedrai il castigo che tocca ai peccatori.	8 You have taken note of our guilty deeds, our secrets in the ful light of your presence.
9 « O Signore, tu sei la mia speranza »: hai preso l'Altissimo a tuo rifugio.	9 Al our days pass under your wrath, our lives are over like a sigh.
10 Non si avvicinerà a te il male, e il flagello non si accosterà alla tua tenda;	10 The span of our life is seventy years -- eighty for those who are strong -- but their whole extent isanxiety and trouble, they are over in a moment and we are gone.
11 Perché ai suoi angeli ha dato per te quest'ordine: di custodirti in tutte le tue vie:	11 Who feels the power of your anger, or who that fears you, your wrath?
12 Ti porteranno sulle loro palme, affinchè il tuo piede non inciampi nei sassi.	12 Teach us to count up the days that are ours, and we shal come to the heart of wisdom.
13 Camminerai sopra l'aspide e il basilisco e calpesterai il leone e il dragone.	13 Come back, Yahweh! How long must we wait? Take pity on your servants.
14 Perché ha sperato in me, lo libererò, lo proteggerò; perchè ha conosciuto il mio nome.	14 Each morning fill us with your faithful love, we shal sing and be happy all our days;
15 Alzerà a me la voce, ed io lo esaudirò, con lui sono nella tribolazione, lo libererò e lo glorificherò.	15 let our joy be as long as the time that you afflicted us, the years when we experienced disaster.
16 Lo sazierò con lunga vita e gli farò vederti la mia salvezza ».	16 Show your servants the deeds you do, let their children enjoy your splendour!
	17 May the sweetness of the Lord be upon us, to confirm the work we have done!
