SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Aleluia. Louvai, ó servos do Senhor, louvai o nome do Senhor.	1 Al eluia! Praise, servants of Yahweh, praise the name of Yahweh.
2 Bendito seja o nome do Senhor, agora e para sempre.	2 Blessed be the name of Yahweh, henceforth and for ever.
3 Desde o nascer ao pôr-do-sol, seja louvado o nome do Senhor.	3 From the rising of the sun to its setting, praised be the name of Yahweh!
4 O Senhor é excelso sobre todos os povos, sua glória ultrapassa a altura dos céus.	4 Supreme over al nations is Yahweh, supreme over the heavens his glory.
5 Quem se compara ao Senhor, nosso Deus, que tem seu trono nas alturas,	5 Who is like Yahweh our God? His throne is set on high,
6 e do alto olha o céu e a terra?	6 but he stoops to look down on heaven and earth.
7 Ele levanta do pó o indigente e tira o pobre do monturo,	7 He raises the poor from the dust, he lifts the needy from the dunghill,
8 para, entre os príncipes, fazê-lo sentar, junto dos grandes de seu povo.	8 to give them a place among princes, among princes of his people.
9 E a mulher, que, antes, era estéril, ele a faz, em sua casa, mãe feliz de muitos filhos.	9 He lets the barren woman be seated at home, the happy mother of sons.
