1 Eis a descendência de Esaú, também chamado Edom.	1 Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.
2 Esaú tomou suas mulheres entre as filhas de Canaã: Ada, filha de Elon, o hiteu; Oolibama, filha de Ana, filha de Sebeon, o heveu;	2 Esau took wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite,

6 Esaú tomou suas mulheres, seus filhos e suas filhas, assim como todo o seu pessoal, seus rebanhos, seus animais e todos os bens que tinha adquirido na terra de Canaã, e mudou-se para longe de seu irmão Jacó.	6 Then Esau took his wives, and sons, and daughters, and every soul of his house, and his substance, and cattle, and whatever he was able to obtain in the land of Canaan, and he went into another region, withdrawing from his brother Jacob.
7 Seus bens eram, com efeito, numerosos demais para que pudessem morar juntos, e a terra em que habitavam não lhes bastava, por causa dos seus muitos rebanhos.	7 For they were very wealthy and were not able to live together. Neither was the land of their sojourn able to sustain them, because of the multitude of their flocks.
8 Esaú estabeleceu-se na montanha de Seir. Esaú chamava-se também Edom.	8 And Esau lived at mount Seir: he is Edom.
9 Eis a descendência de Esaú, pai de Edom, na montanha de Seir.	9 So these are the generations of Esau, the father of Edom, at mount Seir,
10 Estes são os nomes dos filhos de Esaú: Elifaz, filho de Ada, mulher de Esaú; Rauel, filho de Basemat, mulher de Esaú.	10 and these are the names of his sons: Eliphaz the son of Adah, the wife of Esau, likewise Reuel, the son of Basemath, his wife.
11 Os filhos de Elifaz foram: Temã, Omar, Sefo, Gatão e Cenez.	11 And Eliphaz had sons: Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenez.
12 Elifaz, filho de Esaú, tomou uma concubina, Tamna que lhe deu à luz Amalec. Estes são os filhos de Ada, mulher de Esaú.	12 Now Timna was the concubine of Eliphaz, the son of Esau. And she bore him Amalek. These are the sons of Adah, the wife of Esau.

17 Filhos de Rauel, filho de Esaú: o chefe Naat, o chefe Zara, o chefe Sama e o chefe Meza. Tais são os chefes saídos de Rauel, na terra de Edom; estes são os filhos de Basemat, mulher de Esaú.	17 Likewise, these are the sons of Reuel, the son of Esau: leader Nahath, leader Zerah, leader Shammah, leader Mizzah. And these were the leaders of Reuel, in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Basemath, the wife of Esau.
18 Filhos de Oolibama, mulher de Esaú: o chefe Jeus, o chefe Ielon e o chefe Coré. Estes são os chefes saídos de Oolibama, filha de Ana e mulher de Esaú.	18 Now these are the sons of Oholibamah, the wife of Esau: leader Jeush, leader Jalam, leader Korah. These were the leaders of Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah and the wife of Esau.
19 Tais são os filhos de Esaú, e estes são os seus chefes; isto é, Edom.	19 These are the sons of Esau, and these were their leaders: this is Edom.
20 Eis os filhos de Seir, o horreu, que habitava naquela terra: Lotã, Sobal, Sebeon, Ana,	20 These are the sons of Seir, the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
21 Dison, Eser e Disã. Tais são os chefes dos horreus, filhos de Seir, na terra de Edom.	21 and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan. These were the leaders of the Horites, the sons of Seir, in the land of Edom.
22 Os filhos de Lotã foram Hori e Hemã; a irmã de Lotã era Tama.	22 Now Lotan produced sons: Hori and Heman. But the sister of Lotan was Timna.
23 Eis os filhos de Sobal: Alvã, Manaat, Ebal, Sefo e Onão.	23 And these are the sons of Shobal: Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, and Shepho, and Onam.
24 Eis os filhos de Sebeon: Aja e Ana. Foi este Ana que encontrou no deserto as fontes de águas quentes, quando pastoreava os jumentos de Sebeon, seu pai.	24 And these are the sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. This is the Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, when he was pasturing the donkeys of his father Zibeon.
25 Eis os filhos de Ana: Dison e Oolibama, filha de Ana.	25 And he had a son Dishon, and a daughter Oholibamah.
26 Eis os filhos de Dison: Handã, Esebã, Jetram e Caran.	26 And these are the sons of Dishon: Hemdan, and Esheban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
27 Eis os filhos de Eser: Balã, Zavã e Acã.	27 Likewise, these are the sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.
28 Eis os filhos de Disã: Hus e Arão.	28 Then Dishan had sons: Uz and Aran.

32 Bela, filho de Beor, reinou em Edom; sua cidade chamava-se Denaba.	32 Bela the son of Beor, and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
33 Morrendo Bela, Jobab, filho de Zara, de Bosra, reinou em seu lugar.	33 Then Bela died, and Jobab, the son of Zerah from Bozrah, reigned in his place.
34 Morto Jobab, Husão, da terra dos temanitas, reinou em seu lugar.	34 And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.

And his wife was called Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.
40 Eis os nomes dos chefes saídos de Esaú, segundo suas tribos, seus territórios e seus nomes: o chefe Tama, o chefe Alva, o chefe Jetet,	40 Therefore, these were the names of the leaders of Esau, by their families, and places, and in their vocabulary: leader Timna, leader Alvah, leader Jetheth,
41 o chefe Oolibama, o chefe Ela, o chefe Finon,	41 leader Oholibamah, leader Elah, leader Pinon,
42 o chefe Cenez, o chefe Temã, o chefe Mabsar,	42 leader Kanez, leader Teman, leader Mibzar,
43 o chefe Magdiel, o chefe Hirão. Estes são os chefes de Edom. segundo suas residências na terra que ocupavam. Eis aí Esaú, pai de Edom.	43 leader Magdiel, leader Iram. These were the leaders of Edom living in the land of their rule: this is Esau, the father of Idumea.
