Psalms 90

1 The Praise of a Canticle, of David. Whoever dwells with the assistance of the Most High will abide in the protection of the God of heaven.	1 Oración de Moisés, hombre de Dios. Señor, tú has sido nuestro refugio a lo largo de las generaciones.
2 He will say to the Lord, “You are my supporter and my refuge.” My God, I will hope in him.	2 Antes que fueran engendradas las montañas, antes que nacieran la tierra y el mundo, desde siempre y para siempre, tú eres Dios.
3 For he has freed me from the snare of those who go hunting, and from the harsh word.	3 Tú haces que los hombres vuelvan al polvo, con sólo decirles: «Vuelvan, seres humanos».
4 He will overshadow you with his shoulders, and you will hope under his wings.	4 Porque mil años son ante tus ojos como el día de ayer, que ya pasó, como una vigilia de la noche.
5 His truth will surround you with a shield. You will not be afraid: before the terror of the night,	5 Tú los arrebatas, y son como un sueño, como la hierba que brota de mañana:
6 before the arrow flying in the day, before the troubles that wander in the darkness, nor of invasion and the midday demon.	6 por la mañana brota y florece, y por la tarde se seca y se marchita.
7 A thousand will fall before your side and ten thousand before your right hand. Yet it will not draw near you.	7 ¡Estamos consumidos por tu ira y consternados por tu indignación!
8 So then, truly, you will consider with your eyes, and you will see the retribution of sinners.	8 Pusiste nuestras culpas delante de tus ojos, y nuestros secretos a la luz de tu mirada.
9 For you, O Lord, are my hope. You have set the Most High as your refuge.	9 Nuestros días transcurren bajo el peso de tu enojo, y nuestros años se acaban como un suspiro.
10 Disaster will not draw near to you, and the scourge will not approach your tabernacle.	10 Nuestra vida dura apenas setenta años, y ochenta, si tenemos más vigor: en su mayor parte son fatiga y miseria, porque pasan pronto, y nosotros nos vamos.
11 For he has given his Angels charge over you, so as to preserve you in all your ways.	11 ¿Quién puede conocer la violencia de tu enojo y ver el fondo de tu indignación?
12 With their hands, they will carry you, lest you hurt your foot against a stone.	12 Enséñanos a calcular nuestros años, para que nuestro corazón alcance la sabiduría.
13 You will walk over the asp and the king serpent, and you will trample the lion and the dragon.	13 ¡Vuélvete, Señor! ¿Hasta cuándo...? Ten compasión de tus servidores.
14 Because he has hoped in me, I will free him. I will protect him because he has known my name.	14 Sácianos en seguida con tu amor, y cantaremos felices toda nuestra vida.
15 He will cry out to me, and I will heed him. I am with him in tribulation. I will rescue him, and I will glorify him.	15 Alégranos por los días en que nos afligiste, por los años en que soportamos la desgracia.
16 I will fill him with length of days. And I will reveal to him my salvation.	16 Que tu obra se manifieste a tus servidores, y que tu esplendor esté sobre tus hijos.
	17 Que descienda hasta nosotros la bondad del Señor; que el Señor, nuestro Dios, haga prosperar la obra de nuestras manos.
