2 My heart is stirred by a noble theme, as I sing my ode to the king. My tongue is the pen of a nimble scribe.	2 Me brota del corazón un hermoso poema, yo dedico mis versos al rey: mi lengua es como la pluma de un hábil escribiente.
3 You are the most handsome of men; fair speech has graced your lips, for God has blessed you forever.	3 Tú eres hermoso, el más hermoso de los hombres; la gracia se derramó sobre tus labios, porque Dios te ha bendecido para siempre.
4 Gird your sword upon your hip, mighty warrior! In splendor and majesty ride on triumphant!	4 Cíñete, guerrero, la espada a la cintura;
5 In the cause of truth and justice may your right hand show you wondrous deeds.	5 con gloria y majestad, avanza triunfalmente; cabalga en defensa de la verdad y de los pobres. Tu mano hace justicia y tu derecha, proezas;
6 Your arrows are sharp; peoples will cower at your feet; the king's enemies will lose heart.	6 tus flechas con punzantes, se te rinden los pueblos y caen desfallecidos los rivales del rey.
7 Your throne, O god, stands forever; your royal scepter is a scepter for justice.	7 Tu trono, como el de Dios, permanece para siempre; el cetro de tu realeza es un cetro justiciero:
8 You love justice and hate wrongdoing; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellow kings.	8 tú amas la justicia y odias la iniquidad. Por eso el Señor, tu Dios, prefiriéndote a tus iguales, te consagró con el óleo de la alegría:
9 With myrrh, aloes, and cassia your robes are fragrant. From ivory-paneled palaces stringed instruments bring you joy.	9 tus vestiduras exhalan perfume de mirra, áloe y acacia. Las arpas te alegran desde los palacios de marfil;
10 Daughters of kings are your lovely wives; a princess arrayed in Ophir's gold comes to stand at your right hand.	10 una hija de reyes está de pie a tu derecha: es la reina, adornada con tus joyas y con oro de Ofir.
11 Listen, my daughter, and understand; pay me careful heed. Forget your people and your father's house,	11 ¡Escucha, hija mía, mira y presta atención! Olvida tu pueblo y tu casa paterna,
12 that the king might desire your beauty. He is your lord;	12 y el rey se prendará de tu hermosura. El es tu señor: inclínate ante él;
13 honor him, daughter of Tyre. Then the richest of the people will seek your favor with gifts.	13 la ciudad de Tiro vendrá con regalos y los grandes del pueblo buscarán tu favor.
14 All glorious is the king's daughter as she enters, her raiment threaded with gold;	14 Embellecida con corales engarzados en oro
15 In embroidered apparel she is led to the king. The maids of her train are presented to the king.	15 y vestida de brocado, es llevada hasta el rey. Las vírgenes van detrás, sus compañeras la guían,
16 They are led in with glad and joyous acclaim; they enter the palace of the king.	16 con gozo y alegría entran al palacio real.
17 The throne of your fathers your sons will have; you shall make them princes through all the land.	17 Tus hijos ocuparán el lugar de tus padres, y los pondrás como príncipes por toda la tierra.
18 I will make your name renowned through all generations; thus nations shall praise you forever.	18 Yo haré célebre tu nombre por todas las generaciones; por eso, los pueblos te alabarán eternamente.
