Psalms 95

1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.	1 Kommt, lasst uns jubeln vor dem Herrn und zujauchzen dem Fels unsres Heiles!
2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.	2 Lasst uns mit Lob seinem Angesicht nahen, vor ihm jauchzen mit Liedern!
3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.	3 Denn der Herr ist ein großer Gott, ein großer König über allen Göttern.
4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.	4 In seiner Hand sind die Tiefen der Erde, sein sind die Gipfel der Berge.
5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.	5 Sein ist das Meer, das er gemacht hat, das trockene Land, das seine Hände gebildet.
6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.	6 Kommt, lasst uns niederfallen, uns vor ihm verneigen, lasst uns niederknien vor dem Herrn, unserm Schöpfer!
7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,	7 Denn er ist unser Gott, wir sind das Volk seiner Weide, die Herde, von seiner Hand geführt. Ach, würdet ihr doch heute auf seine Stimme hören!
8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:	8 «Verhärtet euer Herz nicht wie in Meríba, wie in der Wüste am Tag von Massa!
9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.	9 Dort haben eure Väter mich versucht, sie haben mich auf die Probe gestellt und hatten doch mein Tun gesehen.
10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:	10 Vierzig Jahre war mir dies Geschlecht zuwider und ich sagte: Sie sind ein Volk, dessen Herz in die Irre geht; denn meine Wege kennen sie nicht.
11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.	11 Darum habe ich in meinem Zorn geschworen: Sie sollen nicht kommen in das Land meiner Ruhe.»
