2 Me brota del corazón un hermoso poema, yo dedico mis versos al rey: mi lengua es como la pluma de un hábil escribiente.	2 My heart is stirred by a noble theme, as I sing my ode to the king. My tongue is the pen of a nimble scribe.
3 Tú eres hermoso, el más hermoso de los hombres; la gracia se derramó sobre tus labios, porque Dios te ha bendecido para siempre.	3 You are the most handsome of men; fair speech has graced your lips, for God has blessed you forever.
4 Cíñete, guerrero, la espada a la cintura;	4 Gird your sword upon your hip, mighty warrior! In splendor and majesty ride on triumphant!
5 con gloria y majestad, avanza triunfalmente; cabalga en defensa de la verdad y de los pobres. Tu mano hace justicia y tu derecha, proezas;	5 In the cause of truth and justice may your right hand show you wondrous deeds.
6 tus flechas con punzantes, se te rinden los pueblos y caen desfallecidos los rivales del rey.	6 Your arrows are sharp; peoples will cower at your feet; the king's enemies will lose heart.
7 Tu trono, como el de Dios, permanece para siempre; el cetro de tu realeza es un cetro justiciero:	7 Your throne, O god, stands forever; your royal scepter is a scepter for justice.
8 tú amas la justicia y odias la iniquidad. Por eso el Señor, tu Dios, prefiriéndote a tus iguales, te consagró con el óleo de la alegría:	8 You love justice and hate wrongdoing; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellow kings.
9 tus vestiduras exhalan perfume de mirra, áloe y acacia. Las arpas te alegran desde los palacios de marfil;	9 With myrrh, aloes, and cassia your robes are fragrant. From ivory-paneled palaces stringed instruments bring you joy.
10 una hija de reyes está de pie a tu derecha: es la reina, adornada con tus joyas y con oro de Ofir.	10 Daughters of kings are your lovely wives; a princess arrayed in Ophir's gold comes to stand at your right hand.
11 ¡Escucha, hija mía, mira y presta atención! Olvida tu pueblo y tu casa paterna,	11 Listen, my daughter, and understand; pay me careful heed. Forget your people and your father's house,
12 y el rey se prendará de tu hermosura. El es tu señor: inclínate ante él;	12 that the king might desire your beauty. He is your lord;
13 la ciudad de Tiro vendrá con regalos y los grandes del pueblo buscarán tu favor.	13 honor him, daughter of Tyre. Then the richest of the people will seek your favor with gifts.
14 Embellecida con corales engarzados en oro	14 All glorious is the king's daughter as she enters, her raiment threaded with gold;
15 y vestida de brocado, es llevada hasta el rey. Las vírgenes van detrás, sus compañeras la guían,	15 In embroidered apparel she is led to the king. The maids of her train are presented to the king.
16 con gozo y alegría entran al palacio real.	16 They are led in with glad and joyous acclaim; they enter the palace of the king.
17 Tus hijos ocuparán el lugar de tus padres, y los pondrás como príncipes por toda la tierra.	17 The throne of your fathers your sons will have; you shall make them princes through all the land.
18 Yo haré célebre tu nombre por todas las generaciones; por eso, los pueblos te alabarán eternamente.	18 I will make your name renowned through all generations; thus nations shall praise you forever.
