EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Del maestro de coro. Según la melodía de «Los lirios». De los hijos de Coré. Poema. Canto de amor.	1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
2 Me brota del corazón un hermoso poema, yo dedico mis versos al rey: mi lengua es como la pluma de un hábil escribiente.	2 Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
3 Tú eres hermoso, el más hermoso de los hombres; la gracia se derramó sobre tus labios, porque Dios te ha bendecido para siempre.	3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
4 Cíñete, guerrero, la espada a la cintura;	4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
5 con gloria y majestad, avanza triunfalmente; cabalga en defensa de la verdad y de los pobres. Tu mano hace justicia y tu derecha, proezas;	5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
6 tus flechas con punzantes, se te rinden los pueblos y caen desfallecidos los rivales del rey.	6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
7 Tu trono, como el de Dios, permanece para siempre; el cetro de tu realeza es un cetro justiciero:	7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
8 tú amas la justicia y odias la iniquidad. Por eso el Señor, tu Dios, prefiriéndote a tus iguales, te consagró con el óleo de la alegría:	8 All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
9 tus vestiduras exhalan perfume de mirra, áloe y acacia. Las arpas te alegran desde los palacios de marfil;	9 Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
10 una hija de reyes está de pie a tu derecha: es la reina, adornada con tus joyas y con oro de Ofir.	10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;
11 ¡Escucha, hija mía, mira y presta atención! Olvida tu pueblo y tu casa paterna,	11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.
12 y el rey se prendará de tu hermosura. El es tu señor: inclínate ante él;	12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.
13 la ciudad de Tiro vendrá con regalos y los grandes del pueblo buscarán tu favor.	13 The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.
14 Embellecida con corales engarzados en oro	14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
15 y vestida de brocado, es llevada hasta el rey. Las vírgenes van detrás, sus compañeras la guían,	15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.
16 con gozo y alegría entran al palacio real.	16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.
17 Tus hijos ocuparán el lugar de tus padres, y los pondrás como príncipes por toda la tierra.	17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
18 Yo haré célebre tu nombre por todas las generaciones; por eso, los pueblos te alabarán eternamente.
