| 26 Não assim entre vós, mas o que entre vós é o maior, faça-se como mais pequeno, e o que governa, seja como o que serve. | 26 With you this must not happen. No; the greatest among you must behave as if he were the youngest,the leader as if he were the one who serves. |

| 45 Tendo-se levantado da oração, e indo ter com seus discípulos, encontrou-os adormecidos pela tristeza. | 45 When he rose from prayer he went to the disciples and found them sleeping for sheer grief. |
| 46 Disse-lhes: "Porque dormis? Levantai-vos, e orai, para que não entreis em tentação." | 46 And he said to them, 'Why are you asleep? Get up and pray not to be put to the test.' |
| 47 Estando ele ainda falando, eis que chega um tropel de gente. Aquele que se chamava Judas, um dos doze, vinha à frente. Aproximou-se de Jesus para o abraçar. | 47 Suddenly, while he was still speaking, a number of men appeared, and at the head of them the mancal ed Judas, one of the Twelve, who went up to Jesus to kiss him. |

| 55 Tendo acendido fogo no meio do pátio, e, sentando-se em roda, estava também Pedro sentado no meio deles. | 55 They had lit a fire in the middle of the courtyard and Peter sat down among them, |
| 56 Uma criada, vendo-o sentado ao lume, e fixando-o bem, disse: "Este estava também com ele." | 56 and as he was sitting there by the blaze a servant-girl saw him, peered at him, and said, 'This manwas with him too.' |
| 57 Mas Pedro o negou, dizendo: "Mulher, eu não o conheço." | 57 But he denied it. 'Woman, I do not know him,' he said. |

| 69 Mas, no futuro, estará sentado o Filho do homem à direita do poder de Deus." | 69 But from now on, the Son of man wil be seated at the right hand of the Power of God.' |
