| 3 O Senhor não deixará com fome o justo, mas deixará insaciados os apetites dos ímpios. | 3 The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked. |
| 4 A mão preguiçosa produz a indigência. mas a mão diligente adquire riquezas. | 4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. |
| 5 Aquele que recolhe no estio é um filho prudente, mas o que dorme na ocasião da messe, cobre-se de vergonha. | 5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame. |
| 6 A bênção do Senhor repousa sobre a cabeça do justo, mas a iniqüidade dos ímpios cobre-lhes o rosto. | 6 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. |
| 7 A memória do justo será abençoada, porém o nome dos ímpios apodrecerá. | 7 The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot. |
| 8 O que é sábio de coração recebe bem os preceitos, mas o insensato dos lábios vai à perdição. | 8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall. |
| 9 Aquele que anda na rectidão, anda afoitamente; aquele porém que segue caminhos tortuosos, será descoberto. | 9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. |

| 11 A boca do justo é uma fonte de vida, porém a boca dos ímpios esconde a iniqüidade. | 11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. |
| 12 O ódio excita rixas, porém a caridade cobre todas as faltas. | 12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. |
| 13 A sabedoria encontra-se nos lábios do sábio, e a vara é para as costas daquele que não tem senso. | 13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding. |
| 14 Os sábios escondem a sua ciência, mas a boca do insensato é ruína iminente. | 14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction. |
| 15 A riqueza do rico é a sua cidade forte; a indigência dos pobres enche-os de pavor. | 15 The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty. |
| 16 O salário do justo conduz à vida, o ganho dos ímpios vai para o pecado. | 16 The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin. |
| 17 O que atende às advertências, está no caminho da vida: o que porém não faz caso das repreensões, anda errado. | 17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth. |
| 18 Os lábios mentirosos escondem o ódio; aquele que espalha calúnias é um insensato. | 18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. |
| 19 No muito falar não faltará pecado, mas o que modera os seus lábios é homem prudente. | 19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. |
| 20 A língua do justo é prata finíssima; mas o coração dos ímpios pouco vale. | 20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth. |
| 21 Os lábios do justo alimentam muitos, mas os néscios morrem por falta de entendimento. A bênção do Senhor faz os (homens) ricos; a nossa fadiga não junta nada. | 21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom. |
| 22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. |
| 23 É um divertimento para o louco fazer o mal, e para o homem sensato ser sábio. | 23 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom. |
| 24 O que o impio teme, isso virá sobre ele; aos justos se lhes concederá o que desejam. O impio desaparecerá como um turbilhão que passa; mas o justo fica em fundamento eterno. | 24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. |
| 25 As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation. |
| 26 Qual o vinagre para os dentes, e o fumo para os olhos. tal é o preguiçoso para aqueles que o mandaram. O temor do Senhor prolonga os dias, porém os anos dos ímpios serão abreviados. | 26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him. |
| 27 The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened. |
| 28 A expectação dos justos será satisfeita, mas a esperança dos ímpios perecerá. | 28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. |
| 29 O caminho do Senhor é a fortaleza do justo, mas o terror dos malfeitores. | 29 The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. |
| 30 O justo não será nunca abalado, porém os ímpios não habitarão sobre a terra. | 30 The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth. |
| 31 Sobre a boca do justo floresce a sabedoria; porém a língua perversa será cortada. | 31 The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out. |
| 32 Os lábios do justo conhecem a graça, e a boca dos ímpios a perversidade. | 32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. |
