1 Ao mestre do coro. Para flautas. Salmo. De Davide	1 Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
2 Senhor, dá ouvidos às minhas palavras, atende os meus gemidos,	2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
3 ouve a voz da minha súplica, rei meu e Deus meu! Porque é a ti que suplico,	3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
4 ó Senhor; de manhã ouves a minha voz; de manhã te apresento as minhas preces, e espero.	4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
5 Tu não és, com efeito, um Deus que ame a iniquidade, nem habita junto de ti o pérfido,	5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 nem os ímpios podem permanecer diante de ti. Aborreces todos os que praticam a iniquidade,	6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
7 perdes todos os que dizem a mentira; O homem sanguinário e fraudulento o Senhor o abomina.	7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
8 Eu, porém, confiado na abundância da tua graça, entrarei na tua casa, prostrar-me-ei no teu santo templo com a reverência que te é devida,	8 Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
9 ó Senhor, Senhor, guia-me na tua justiça, por causa dos meus inimigos; aplana o teu caminho diante de mim.	9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10 Porque na boca deles não há sinceridade; o seu coração maquina ciladas; a sua garganta é um sepulcro aberto ; com as suas línguas lisonjeiam.	10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.
11 Castiga-os, ó Deus, frustrem-se os seus desígnios; expulsa-os (da sua presença) por causa dos seus muitos crimes, pois são rebeldes contra ti.	11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
12 Alegrem-se porém todos os que se acolhem a ti, exultem eternamente. Protege-os e regozijem-se em ti os que amam o teu nome.	12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
13 Porque tu, ó Senhor, abençoarás o justo: envolvê-lo-ás com a tua benevolência, como com um escudo.
