1 Salmo, De Davide, quando foge de Absalão, seu filho.	1 A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me;
2 Senhor, quão numerosos são os que me atormentam, muitos se levantam contra mim!	2 many are saying of me, there is no help for him in God. [Selah]
3 Muitos dizem a meu respeito: "Não há salvação para ele em Deus."	3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.
4 Porém tu, Senhor, és o meu escudo, a minha glória, o que exaltas a minha cabeça,	4 I cry aloud to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy hill. [Selah]
5 Com a minha voz clamei ao Senhor, e ele ouviu-me (benigno) do seu santo monte.	5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the LORD sustains me.
6 Deitei-me e adormeci: levantei-me, porque o Senhor me ampara.	6 I am not afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about.
7 Não temerei esse povo que, aos milhares, acampa em cerco contra mim.	7 Arise, O LORD! Deliver me, O my God! For thou dost smite all my enemies on the cheek, thou dost break the teeth of the wicked.
8 Levanta-te, Senhor! Salva-me, Deus meu! Com efeito, tu feriste na cara todos os meus inimigos, quebraste os dentes dos pecadores.	8 Deliverance belongs to the LORD; thy blessing be upon thy people! [Selah]
9 Junto do Senhor há salvação: sobre o teu povo, (ó Deus) venha a tua bênção!
