1 Ao mestre do coro. De Davide.	1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David.
2 Ao Senhor me acolho; por que dizeis (pois) à minha a alma: "Foge para o monte como a ave?" (1)	2 I trust in the Lord. How can you say to my soul, “Sojourn to the mountain, like a sparrow.”
3 Eis que os ímpios retesam o seu arco, ajustam a sua flecha sobre a corda, para dispararem às ocultas contra os que são de coração recto. (2)	3 For behold, the sinners have bent their bow. They have prepared their arrows in the quiver, so as to shoot arrows in the dark at the upright of heart.
4 Quando se desmoronam os fundamentos, que pode fazer o justo? (3)	4 For they have destroyed the things that you have completed. But what has the just one done?
5 O Senhor habita no seu santo templo, o trono do Senhor está no céu. Os seus olhos observam, as suas pálpebras examinam os filhos dos homens. (4)	5 The Lord is in his holy temple. The Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes look upon the poor. His eyelids question the sons of men.
6 O senhor sonda o justo e o ímpio; o seu espírito odeia aquele que ama a iniquidade. (5)	6 The Lord questions the just and the impious. Yet he who loves iniquity, hates his own soul.
7 Fará chover sobre os pecadores carvões ardentes e enxofre; um vento abrasador será a porção do seu cálice. (6)	7 He will rain down snares upon sinners. Fire and brimstone and windstorms will be the portion of their cup.
8 Com efeito, o Senhor é justo e ama a justiça; os homens rectos verão a sua face. (7)	8 For the Lord is just, and he has chosen justice. His countenance has beheld equity.
