Ad Romanos 16

1 Commendo autem vobis Phœben sororem nostram, quæ est in ministerio ecclesiæ, quæ est in Cenchris :	1 I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deaconess of the church at Cenchreae;
2 ut eam suscipiatis in Domino digne sanctis : et assistatis ei in quocumque negotio vestri indiguerit : etenim ipsa quoque astitit multis, et mihi ipsi.	2 give her, in the Lord, a welcome worthy of God's holy people, and help her with whatever she needs from you -- she herself has come to the help of many people, including myself.
3 Salutate Priscam et Aquilam, adjutores meos in Christo Jesu	3 My greetings to Prisca and Aquila, my fellow-workers in Christ Jesus,
4 (qui pro anima mea suas cervices supposuerunt : quibus non solus ego gratias ago, sed et cunctæ ecclesiæ gentium),	4 who risked their own necks to save my life; to them, thanks not only from me, but from al thechurches among the gentiles;
5 et domesticam ecclesiam eorum. Salutate Epænetum dilectum mihi, qui est primitivus Asiæ in Christo.	5 and my greetings to the church at their house. Greetings to my dear friend Epaenetus, the first ofAsia's offerings to Christ.

7 Salutate Andronicum et Juniam, cognatos, et concaptivos meos : qui sunt nobiles in Apostolis, qui et ante me fuerunt in Christo.	7 Greetings to those outstanding apostles, Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and fel ow-prisoners,who were in Christ before me.
8 Salutate Ampliatum dilectissimum mihi in Domino.	8 Greetings to Ampliatus, my dear friend in the Lord.
9 Salutate Urbanum adjutorem nostrum in Christo Jesu, et Stachyn dilectum meum.	9 Greetings to Urban, my fel ow-worker in Christ, and to my dear friend Stachys.
10 Salutate Apellen probum in Christo.	10 Greetings to Apel es, proved servant of Christ. Greetings to al the household of Aristobulus.
11 Salutate eos qui sunt ex Aristoboli domo. Salutate Herodionem cognatum meum. Salutate eos qui sunt ex Narcisi domo, qui sunt in Domino.	11 Greetings to my kinsman, Herodion, and greetings to those who belong to the Lord in the householdof Narcissus.
12 Salutate Tryphænam et Tryphosam, quæ laborant in Domino. Salutate Persidem carissimam, quæ multum laboravit in Domino.	12 Greetings to Tryphaena and Tryphosa who work hard in the Lord; greetings to my dear friendPersis, also a very hard worker in the Lord.
13 Salutate Rufum electum in Domino, et matrem ejus, et meam.	13 Greetings to Rufus, chosen servant of the Lord, and to his mother -- a mother to me too.
14 Salutate Asyncritum, Phlegontem, Hermam, Patrobam, Hermen, et qui cum eis sunt, fratres.	14 Greetings to Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brothers who are with them.
15 Salutate Philologum et Juliam, Nereum, et sororem ejus, et Olympiadem, et omnes qui cum eis sunt, sanctos.	15 Greetings to Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas and al God's holy peoplewho are with them.
16 Salutate invicem in osculo sancto. Salutant vos omnes ecclesiæ Christi.	16 Greet each other with the holy kiss. All the churches of Christ send their greetings.
17 Rogo autem vos fratres, ut observetis eos qui dissensiones et offendicula, præter doctrinam, quam vos didicistis, faciunt, et declinate ab illis.	17 I urge you, brothers, be on your guard against the people who are out to stir up disagreements andbring up difficulties against the teaching which you learnt. Avoid them.
18 Hujuscemodi enim Christo Domino nostro non serviunt, sed suo ventri : et per dulces sermones et benedictiones seducunt corda innocentium.	18 People of that sort are servants not of our Lord Christ, but of their own greed; and with talk thatsounds smooth and reasonable they deceive the minds of the unwary.
19 Vestra enim obedientia in omnem locum divulgata est. Gaudeo igitur in vobis. Sed volo vos sapientes esse in bono, et simplices in malo.	19 Your obedience has become known to everyone, and I am very pleased with you for it; but I shouldwant you to be learned only in what is good, and unsophisticated about al that is evil.
20 Deus autem pacis conterat Satanam sub pedibus vestris velociter. Gratia Domini nostri Jesu Christi vobiscum.	20 The God of peace wil soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be withyou.
21 Salutat vos Timotheus adjutor meus, et Lucius, et Jason, et Sosipater cognati mei.	21 Timothy, who is working with me, sends greetings to you, and so do my kinsmen Lucius, Jason andSosipater.
22 Saluto vos ego Tertius, qui scripsi epistolam, in Domino.	22 I, Tertius, who am writing this letter, greet you in the Lord.
23 Salutat vos Cajus hospes meus, et universa ecclesia. Salutat vos Erastus arcarius civitatis, et Quartus, frater.	23 Greetings to you from Gaius, my host here, and host of the whole church. Erastus, the city treasurer,sends greetings to you, and our brother Quartus.
24 Gratia Domini nostri Jesu Christi cum omnibus vobis. Amen.	24
25 Ei autem, qui potens est vos confirmare juxta Evangelium meum, et prædicationem Jesu Christi, secundum revelationem mysterii temporibus æternis taciti	25 And now to him who can make you strong in accordance with the gospel that I preach and theproclamation of Jesus Christ, in accordance with that mystery which for endless ages was kept secret
26 (quod nunc patefactum est per Scripturas prophetarum secundum præceptum æterni Dei, ad obeditionem fidei), in cunctis gentibus cogniti,	26 but now (as the prophets wrote) is revealed, as the eternal God commanded, to be made known toal the nations, so that they obey in faith:
27 soli sapienti Deo, per Jesum Christum, cui honor et gloria in sæcula sæculorum. Amen.	27 to him, the only wise God, give glory through Jesus Christ for ever and ever. Amen.
