1 Fecit et altare holocausti de lignis setim, quinque cubitorum per quadrum, et trium in altitudine :1 He made the altar of burnt offerings of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide; it was squareand three cubits high.
2 cujus cornua de angulis procedebant, operuitque illum laminis æneis.2 At its four corners he made horns, the horns being of a piece with it, and overlaid it with bronze.
3 Et in usus ejus paravit ex ære vasa diversa, lebetes, forcipes, fuscinulas, uncinos, et ignium receptacula.3 He made all the altar accessories: the ash pans, shovels, sprinkling basins, hooks and fire pans; hemade al the altar accessories of bronze.
4 Craticulamque ejus in modum retis fecit æneam, et subter eam in altaris medio arulam,4 He also made a grating for the altar of bronze network, below its ledge, underneath, coming halfwayup.
5 fusis quatuor annulis per totidem retiaculi summitates, ad immittendos vectes ad portandum :5 He cast four rings for the four corners of the bronze grating to take the shafts.
6 quos et ipsos fecit de lignis setim, et operuit laminis æneis :6 He made the shafts of acacia wood and overlaid them with bronze.
7 induxitque in circulos, qui in lateribus altaris eminebant. Ipsum autem altare non erat solidum, sed cavum ex tabulis, et intus vacuum.
7 He passed the shafts through the rings on the sides of the altar for carrying it. He made the altarhollow, out of boards.
8 Fecit et labrum æneum cum basi sua de speculis mulierum, quæ excubabant in ostio tabernaculi.8 He made the bronze basin and its bronze stand from the mirrors of the women who served at theentrance to the Tent of Meeting.
9 Fecit et atrium, in cujus australi plaga erant tentoria de bysso retorta, cubitorum centum,9 He made the court. On the south side, on the south, the curtaining of the court was of finely wovenlinen a hundred cubits long.
10 columnæ æneæ viginti cum basibus suis, capita columnarum, et tota operis cælatura, argentea.10 Its twenty poles and their sockets being of bronze, and their hooks and rods of silver;
11 Æque ad septentrionalem plagam tentoria columnæ, basesque et capita columnarum ejusdem mensuræ, et operis ac metalli, erant.11 and on the north side, a hundred cubits of curtaining, its twenty poles and their twenty sockets beingof bronze, and their hooks and rods of silver.
12 In ea vero plaga, quæ ad occidentem respicit, fuerunt tentoria cubitorum quinquaginta, columnæ decem cum basibus suis æneæ, et capita columnarum, et tota operis cælatura, argentea.12 On the west side there were fifty cubits of curtaining, with its ten poles and their ten sockets, thepoles' hooks and rods being of silver;
13 Porro contra orientem quinquaginta cubitorum paravit tentoria :13 and on the east side on the east, there were fifty cubits.
14 e quibus, quindecim cubitos columnarum trium, cum basibus suis, unum tenebat latus :14 On the one side there were fifteen cubits of curtaining, with its three poles and their three sockets,
15 et in parte altera (quia inter utraque introitum tabernaculi fecit) quindecim æque cubitorum erant tentoria, columnæque tres, et bases totidem.15 and on the other side -- either side of the gateway to the court -- there were fifteen cubits ofcurtaining with its three poles and their three sockets.
16 Cuncta atrii tentoria byssus retorta texuerat.16 Al the curtaining round the court was of finely woven linen,
17 Bases columnarum fuere æneæ, capita autem earum cum cunctis cælaturis suis argentea : sed et ipsas columnas atrii vestivit argento.17 the sockets for the poles were of bronze, the poles' hooks and rods of silver, their capitals wereoverlaid with silver and al the poles of the court had silver rods.
18 Et in introitu ejus opere plumario fecit tentorium ex hyacintho, purpura, vermiculo, ac bysso retorta, quod habebat viginti cubitos in longitudine, altitudo vero quinque cubitorum erat juxta mensuram, quam cuncta atrii tentoria habebant.18 The screen for the gateway to the court was of finely woven linen embroidered with violet-purple, red-purple and crimson, twenty cubits long and five cubits high (al the way along) like the curtaining of the court,
19 Columnæ autem in ingressu fuere quatuor cum basibus æneis, capitaque earum et cælaturæ argenteæ.19 its four poles and their four sockets being of bronze, their hooks of silver, their capitals overlaid withsilver, and their rods of silver.
20 Paxillos quoque tabernaculi et atrii per gyrum fecit æneos.
20 Al the pegs round the Dwel ing and the court were of bronze.
21 Hæc sunt instrumenta tabernaculi testimonii, quæ enumerata sunt juxta præceptum Moysi in cæremoniis Levitarum per manum Ithamar filii Aaron sacerdotis :21 These are the accounts for the Dwelling -- the Dwel ing of the Testimony -- drawn up by order ofMoses, the work of Levites, produced by Ithamar son of Aaron, the priest.
22 quæ Beseleel filius Uri filii Hur de tribu Juda, Domino per Moysen jubente, compleverat,22 Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made everything that Yahweh ordered Moses tomake,
23 juncto sibi socio Ooliab filio Achisamech de tribu Dan : qui et ipse artifex lignorum egregius fuit, et polymitarius atque plumarius ex hyacintho, purpura, vermiculo et bysso.23 his assistant being Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver, embroiderer andneedleworker in violet-purple, red-purple and crimson materials and fine linen.
24 Omne aurum quod expensum est in opere sanctuarii, et quod oblatum est in donariis, viginti novem talentorum fuit, et septingentorum triginta siclorum ad mensuram sanctuarii.24 The amount of gold used for the work, for the entire work for the sanctuary (the gold consecrated forthe purpose) was twenty-nine talents and seven hundred and thirty shekels, reckoned by the sanctuary shekel.
25 Oblatum est autem ab his qui transierunt ad numerum a viginti annis et supra, de sexcentis tribus millibus et quingentis quinquaginta armatorum.25 The silver from the census of the community was one hundred talents and one thousand sevenhundred and seventy-five shekels, reckoned by the sanctuary shekel,
26 Fuerunt præterea centum talenta argenti e quibus conflatæ sunt bases sanctuarii, et introitus, ubi velum pendet.26 one beqa per head, half a shekel reckoned by the sanctuary shekel, for everyone of twenty years andover included in the census, for six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty persons.
27 Centum bases factæ sunt de talentis centum, singulis talentis per bases singulas supputatis.27 A hundred talents of silver were used for casting the sockets for the sanctuary and the sockets for thecurtain: a hundred sockets from a hundred talents, one talent per socket.
28 De mille autem septingentis et septuaginta quinque, fecit capita columnarum, quas et ipsas vestivit argento.28 From the one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five shekels he made the hooks for the poles,overlaid their capitals and made the rods for them.
29 Æris quoque oblata sunt talenta septuaginta duo millia, et quadringenti supra sicli,29 The bronze consecrated for the purpose amounted to seventy talents and two thousand four hundredshekels,
30 ex quibus fusæ sunt bases in introitu tabernaculi testimonii, et altare æneum cum craticula sua, omniaque vasa quæ ad usum ejus pertinent,30 and from it he made the sockets for the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, the bronze altar, its bronzegrating and al the altar accessories,
31 et bases atrii tam in circuitu quam in ingressu ejus, et paxilli tabernaculi atque atrii per gyrum.31 the sockets al round the court, the sockets for the gateway to the court, all the pegs for the Dwel ingand all the pegs round the court.
