Osea 1

LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Parola del Signore, rivolta ad Osea, figlio di Beeri, al tempo di Ozia, di Iotam, di Acaz, di Ezechia re di Giuda e al tempo di Geroboamo, figlio di Ioas, re d'Israele.	1 The word of Yahweh which came to Hosea son of Beeri during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz andHezekiah kings of Judah, and of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel.
2 Inizio del messagio del Signore per mezzo di Osea. Il Signore disse ad Osea: "Sposa una prostituta e genera figli della prostituta, perché il paese si è prostituito avendo abbandonato il Signore!".	2 The beginning of what Yahweh said through Hosea: Yahweh said to Hosea, 'Go, marry a whore, andget children with a whore; for the country itself has become nothing but a whore by abandoning Yahweh.'
3 Egli andò e sposò Gomer, figlia di Diblaim; costei rimase incinta e gli partorì un figlio.	3 So he went and married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, who conceived and bore him a son.
4 Il Signore gli ordinò: "Chiamalo Izreèl; perché ancora un poco e farò scontare i massacri di Izreèl alla casa di Ieu e distruggerò il regno della casa d'Israele.	4 Yahweh then said to him, 'Call him Jezreel, for in a little while I shal punish the House of Jehu for thebloodshed at Jezreel and put an end to the sovereignty of the House of Israel.

6 Gomer rimase incinta di nuovo e partorì una figlia. Il Signore gli ordinò: "Chiamala "Non-amata", perché non avrò più pietà della casa d'Israele, sicché abbia a perdonarli!	6 She conceived a second time and gave birth to a daughter. Yahweh then said to him, 'Cal her Lo-Ruhamah, for I shall show no more pity for the House of Israel, I shal never forgive them again.
7 Della casa di Giuda avrò pietà e li salverò nel Signore loro Dio; non li salverò con l'arco, con la spada, con la guerra, né con i cavalli e i cavalieri".	7 (Instead, I shal take pity on the House of Judah and shal save them, not by bow or sword or force ofarms, not by horses or horsemen, but by Yahweh their God.)'
8 Quando ebbe divezzato Non-amata, concepì e partorì un figlio.	8 After weaning Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived and gave birth to a son.
9 Disse: "Chiamalo "Non-popolo-mio", perché voi non siete il mio popolo e io non sono il vostro Dio!".	9 Yahweh said, 'Cal him Lo-Ammi, for you are not my people and I do not exist for you.'
