1 Therefore, if you have risen together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.	1 Así pues, si habéis resucitado con Cristo, buscad las cosas de arriba, donde está Cristo sentado a la diestra de Dios.
2 Consider the things that are above, not the things that are upon the earth.	2 Aspirad a las cosas de arriba, no a las de la tierra.
3 For you have died, and so your life is hidden with Christ in God.	3 Porque habéis muerto, y vuestra vida está oculta con Cristo en Dios.
4 When Christ, your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.	4 Cuando aparezca Cristo, vida vuestra, entonces también vosotros apareceréis gloriosos con él.
5 Therefore, mortify your body, while it is upon the earth. For because of fornication, impurity, lust, evil desires, and avarice, which are a kind of service to idols,	5 Por tanto, mortificad vuestros miembros terrenos: fornicación, impureza, pasiones, malos deseos y la codicia, que es una idolatría,
6 the wrath of God has overwhelmed the sons of unbelief.	6 todo lo cual atrae la cólera de Dios sobre los rebeldes,
7 You, too, walked in these things, in times past, when you were living among them.	7 y que también vosotros practicasteis en otro tiempo, cuando vivíais entre ellas.
8 But now you must set aside all these things: anger, indignation, malice, blasphemy, and indecent speech from your mouth.	8 Mas ahora, desechad también vosotros todo esto: cólera, ira, maldad, maledicencia y palabras groseras, lejos de vuestra boca.
9 Do not lie to one another. Strip yourselves of the old man, with his deeds,	9 No os mintáis unos a otros. Despojaos del hombre viejo con sus obras,
10 and clothe yourself with the new man, who has been renewed by knowledge, in accord with the image of the One who created him,	10 y revestíos del hombre nuevo, que se va renovando hasta alcanzar un conocimiento pefecto, según la imagen de su Creador,
11 where there is neither Gentile nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian nor Scythian, servant nor free. Instead, Christ is everything, in everyone.	11 donde no hay griego y judío; circuncisión e incircuncisión; bárbaro, escita, esclavo, libre, sino que Cristo es todo y en todos.
12 Therefore, clothe yourselves like the elect of God: holy and beloved, with hearts of mercy, kindness, humility, modesty, and patience.	12 Revestíos, pues, como elegidos de Dios, santos y amados, de entrañas de misericordia, de bondad, humildad, mansedumbre, paciencia,
13 Support one another, and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive one another. For just as the Lord has forgiven you, so also must you do.	13 soportándoos unos a otros y perdonándoos mutuamente, si alguno tiene queja contra otro. Como el Señor os perdonó, perdonaos también vosotros.
14 And above all these things have charity, which is the bond of perfection.	14 Y por encima de todo esto, revestíos del amor, que es el vínculo de la perfección.
15 And let the peace of Christ lift up your hearts. For in this peace, you have been called, as one body. And be thankful.	15 Y que la paz de Cristo presida vuestros corazones, pues a ella habéis sido llamados formando un solo Cuerpo. Y sed agradecidos.
16 Let the word of Christ live in you in abundance, with all wisdom, teaching and correcting one another, with psalms, hymns, and spiritual canticles, singing to God with the grace in your hearts.	16 La palabra de Cristo habite en vosotros con toda su riqueza; instruíos y amonestaos con toda sabiduría, cantad agradecidos, himnos y cánticos inspirados,
17 Let everything whatsoever that you do, whether in word or in deed, be done all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through him.	17 y todo cuanto hagáis, de palabra y de boca, hacedlo todo en el nombre del Señor Jesús, dando gracias por su medio a Dios Padre.
18 Wives, be submissive to your husbands, as is proper in the Lord.	18 Mujeres, sed sumisas a vuestros maridos, como conviene en el Señor.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter toward them.	19 Maridos, amad a vuestras mujeres, y no seáis ásperos con ellas.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things. For this is well-pleasing to the Lord.	20 Hijos, obedeced en todo a vuestros padres, porque esto es grato a Dios en el Señor.
21 Fathers, do not provoke your children to indignation, lest they lose heart.	21 Padres, no exasperéis a vuestros hijos, no sea que se vuelvan apocados.
22 Servants, obey, in all things, your lords according to the flesh, not serving only when seen, as if to please men, but serving in simplicity of heart, fearing God.	22 Esclavos, obedeced en todo a vuestros amos de este mundo, no porque os vean, como quien busca agradar a los hombres; sino con sencillez de corazón, en el temor del Señor.
23 Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as for the Lord, and not for men.	23 Todo cuanto hagáis, hacedlo de corazón, como para el Señor y no para los hombres,
24 For you know that you will receive from the Lord the repayment of an inheritance. Serve Christ the Lord.	24 conscientes de que el Señor os dará la herencia en recompensa. El Amo a quien servís es Cristo.
25 For whoever causes injury shall be repaid for what he has wrongfully done. And there no favoritism with God.	25 El que obre la injusticia, recibirá conforme a esa injusticia; que no hay acepción de personas.
