Ezekiel 38

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 La palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:
2 'Son of man, turn towards Gog, to the country of Magog, towards the paramount prince of Meshechand Tubal, and prophesy against him.	2 Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia Gog, en el país de Magog, príncipe supremo de Mesek y Túbal, y profetiza contra él.
3 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am against you, Gog, paramount prince of Meshech and Tubal.	3 Dirás: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Aquí estoy contra ti, Gog, príncipe supremo de Mesek y Túbal.
4 I shal turn you about, I shall fix hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your entire army, horses andhorsemen, al perfectly equipped, a huge array armed with shields and bucklers, and al wielding swords.	4 Yo te haré dar media vuelta, te pondré garfios en las quijadas, y te haré salir con todo tu ejército, caballos y caballeros, todos bien equipados, inmensa asamblea, todos con escudos y paveses, y diestros en el manejo de la espada.
5 Persia and Cush and Put are with them, al with buckler and helmet;	5 Persia, Kus y Put están con ellos, todos con escudo y yelmo.
6 Gomer and al its troops, Beth-Togarmah in the far north and al its troops, and many nations with you.	6 Gómer, con todas sus huestes, Bet Togarmá, en el extemo norte, con todas sus huestes, pueblos numerosos, están contigo.
7 Be ready, be wel prepared, you and al your troops and the others rallying to you, and hold yourself atmy service.	7 Disponte y prepárate, tú y toda tu asamblea concentrada en torno a ti, y ponte a mi servicio.
8 "Many days will pass before you are given orders; in the final years you wil march on this country,whose inhabitants wil have been living in confidence, remote from other peoples, since they escaped the swordand were gathered in from various nations, here in the long-deserted mountains of Israel.	8 Al cabo de muchos días, recibirás órdenes. Después de muchos años, vendrás hacia la tierra cuyos habitantes escaparon a la espada y fueron congregados de entre una multitud de pueblos en los montes de Israel, que habían sido un desierto permanente. Desde que fueron separados de los otros pueblos, habitan todos en seguridad.
9 Like a storm you wil approach, you wil advance and cover the country like a cloud, you, al yourtroops and many nations with you.	9 Tú subirás, avanzarás como un huracán, como un nubarrón que cubrirá la tierra, tú y todas tus huestes, y los numerosos pueblos que están contigo.
10 "The Lord Yahweh says this: That day, a thought wil enter your mind and you wil form a sinisterplan.	10 Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Aquel día te vendrán al corazón proyectos y concebirás perversos planes.
11 You wil think: I shal attack this undefended country and march on this peaceful nation living secure,al living in towns without wal s or bars or gates.	11 Dirás: «Voy a subir contra una tierra abierta, marcharé contra gente tranquila que habita en seguridad. Habitan todos en ciudades sin murallas, sin cerrojos ni puertas».
12 You wil come to plunder and loot and turn your might against the ruins they live in, against thispeople gathered back from the nations, these stock-breeders and traders who live at the Navel of the World.	12 Irás a saquear, a hacer botín, a poner tu mano sobre ruinas repobladas, en un pueblo congregado de entre las naciones, entregado a reponer el ganado y la hacienda, que habita en el centro de la tierra».
13 Sheba and Dedan, the merchants and all the magnates of Tarshish wil ask you: Have you come forplunder? Are you massing your troops with a view to looting? To make off with gold and silver, seize cattle and goods, and come away with unlimited spoil?"	13 Sabá, Dedán, los mercaderes de Tarsis y todos sus leoncillos te dirán: «¿A saquear has venido? ¿Para hacer botín has concentrado tu asamblea? ¿Para llevarte el oro y la plata, para apoderarte de ganados y haciendas, para hacer un gran botín?»
14 'So, son of man, prophesy. Say to Gog, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Is it not true that you will set outat a time when my people Israel is living secure?	14 Por eso, profetiza, hijo de hombre. Dirás a Gog: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: ¿No es verdad que aquel día, cuando mi pueblo Israel viva en seguridad, te pondrás en movimiento?
15 You wil leave your home in the far north, you and many nations with you, a great army of countlesstroops all mounted.	15 Vendrás de tu lugar, del extremo norte, tú y pueblos numerosos contigo, todos montados a caballo, enorme asamblea, ejército innumerable.
16 You wil invade Israel, my people. You will be like a cloud covering the country. In the final days, Imyself shal bring you to attack my country, so that the nations will know who I am, when I display my holiness tothem, by means of you, Gog.	16 Subirás contra mi pueblo Israel como un nublado que recubre la tierra. Será al fin de los días; yo te haré venir entonces contra mi tierra para que las naciones me conozcan, cuando yo manifieste mi santidad a sus ojos, a costa tuya, Gog.
17 "The Lord Yahweh says this: It was of you that I spoke in the past through my servants the prophetsof Israel, who prophesied in those days, foretel ing your invasion.	17 Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Tú eres aquel de quien yo hablé antaño, por medio de mis siervos los profetas de Israel, que profetizaron en aquel tiempo, durante años, que yo te haría venir contra ellos.
18 The day Gog attacks the land of Israel -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- my furious wrath will boil up. Inmy anger,	18 Aquel día, cuando Gog avance contra el suelo de Israel - oráculo del Señor Yahveh - estallará mi furor. En mi cólera,
19 in my jealousy, in the heat of my fury I say it: That day, I swear, there wil be such a huge earthquakein the land of Israel,	19 en mis celos, en el ardor de mi furia lo digo: Sí, aquel día habrá un gran terremoto en el suelo de Israel.
20 that the fish in the sea and the birds of heaven, the wild beasts, al the reptiles creeping along theground, and al people on the surface of the earth will quake before me. Mountains wil fall, cliffs crumble, alwal s col apse, and	20 Temblarán entonces ante mí los peces del mar y los pájaros del cielo, las bestias del campo y todos los reptiles que serpean por el suelo, y todos los hombres de sobre la haz de la tierra. Se desplomarán los montes, caerán las rocas, todas las murallas caerán por tierra.
21 I shal summon every kind of sword against him -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- and each will turn hissword against his comrade.	21 Convocaré contra él toda clase de terrores, oráculo del Señor Yahveh. Volverán la espada unos contra otros.
22 I shal punish him with plague and bloodshed, and rain down torrential rain, hailstones, fire andbrimstone on him, on his troops and on the many nations with him.	22 Le castigaré con la peste y la sangre, haré caer una lluvia torrencial, granizos, fuego y azufre, sobre él, sobre sus huestes y sobre los numerosos pueblos que van con él.
23 I shal display my greatness and holiness and bring the many nations to acknowledge me; and theywil know that I am Yahweh." '	23 Manifestaré mi grandeza y mi santidad, me daré a conocer a los ojos de numerosas naciones y sabrán que yo soy Yahveh.
