1 Now in regard to the collection for the holy ones, you also should do as I ordered the churches of Galatia.	1 Riguardo poi alla colletta in corso a favore dei santi, fate anche voi come ho ordinato alle chiese della Galazia.
2 On the first day of the week each of you should set aside and save whatever one can afford, so that collections will not be going on when I come.	2 Ogni primo giorno della settimana ciascuno metta in disparte, per conservarlo, quel tanto che gli viene bene, onde non si debbano fare collette quando io venga.
3 And when I arrive, I shall send those whom you have approved with letters of recommendation to take your gracious gift to Jerusalem.	3 Quando verrò, manderò con una mia lettera quelli che voi avrete scelto per portare il dono della vostra benevolenza a Gerusalemme.
4 If it seems fitting that I should go also, they will go with me.	4 E se sembrerà bene che vada anch'io, partiranno con me.
5 I shall come to you after I pass through Macedonia (for I am going to pass through Macedonia),	5 Verrò da voi dopo aver attraversato la Macedonia; ho infatti intenzione di attraversare la Macedonia,
6 and perhaps I shall stay or even spend the winter with you, so that you may send me on my way wherever I may go.	6 e giunto da voi, mi fermerò, o anche passerò l'inverno, per essere poi congedato da voi, dovunque debba andare.
7 For I do not wish to see you now just in passing, but I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.	7 Non voglio assolutamente vedervi solo di passaggio, ma spero di trascorrere un po' di tempo con voi, se il Signore lo permetterà.
8 I shall stay in Ephesus until Pentecost,	8 Mi fermerò tuttavia a Efeso fino a Pentecoste,
9 because a door has opened for me wide and productive for work, but there are many opponents.	9 perché mi si è aperta una porta grande e favorevole, anche se gli avversari sono molti.
10 If Timothy comes, see that he is without fear in your company, for he is doing the work of the Lord just as I am.	10 Se viene Timoteo, fate che non si trovi in soggezione presso di voi: lavora per l'opera del Signore al pari di me.
11 Therefore no one should disdain him. Rather, send him on his way in peace that he may come to me, for I am expecting him with the brothers.	11 Perciò nessuno gli manchi di riguardo. Accomiatatelo in pace, perché venga da me, che lo aspetto con i fratelli.
12 Now in regard to our brother Apollos, I urged him strongly to go to you with the brothers, but it was not at all his will that he go now. He will go when he has an opportunity.	12 Quanto al fratello Apollo, io l'ho pregato vivamente di venire da voi con i fratelli, ma non ha voluto saperne di partire adesso; verrà tuttavia quando gli si presenterà l'occasione.
13 Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong.	13 Vigilate, state saldi nella fede, siate uomini, siate forti.
14 Your every act should be done with love.	14 Tutto si faccia tra voi nella carità.
15 I urge you, brothers--you know that the household of Stephanas is the firstfruits of Achaia and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the holy ones--	15 Una raccomandazione ancora, o fratelli: conoscete la famiglia di Stefana, che è primizia dell'Acaia e hanno votato se stessi a servizio dei santi;
16 be subordinate to such people and to everyone who works and toils with them.	16 siate anche voi obbedienti verso di loro e verso quanti collaborano e si affaticano.
17 I rejoice in the arrival of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, because they made up for your absence,	17 Godo della presenza di Stefana, di Fortunato e di Acaico, i quali hanno supplito alla vostra mancanza;
18 for they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. So give recognition to such people.	18 hanno allietato il mio spirito e allieteranno il vostro. Sappiate riconoscere queste persone.
19 The churches of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca together with the church at their house send you many greetings in the Lord.	19 Le chiese dell'Asia vi salutano. Vi salutano molto nel Signore Aquila e Prisca con la comunità che si raduna nella loro casa.
20 All the brothers greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.	20 Vi salutano i fratelli tutti. Salutatevi a vicenda con il bacio santo.
21 I, Paul, write you this greeting in my own hand.	21 Il saluto è di mia mano, di Paolo.
22 If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. Marana tha.	22 Se qualcuno non ama il Signore, sia anàtema. Maràna tha.
23 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.	23 La grazia del Signore Gesù sia con voi.
24 My love to all of you in Christ Jesus.	24 Il mio affetto con tutti voi in Cristo Gesù!
