1 Voici les étapes que parcoururent les Israélites lorsqu'ils furent sortis du pays d'Egypte selonleurs unités, sous la conduite de Moïse et d'Aaron.	1 The following are the stages by which the Israelites journeyed up by companies from the land of Egypt under the guidance of Moses and Aaron.
2 Moïse consignait par écrit leurs points de départ quand ils partaient sur l'ordre de Yahvé. Voicileurs étapes par point de départ.	2 By the LORD'S command Moses recorded the starting places of the various stages. The starting places of the successive stages were:
3 Ils partirent de Ramsès le premier mois. C'est le quinzième jour du premier mois, lendemain de laPâque, que les Israélites partirent la main haute, aux yeux de toute l'Egypte.	3 They set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the Passover morrow the Israelites went forth in triumph, in view of all Egypt,
4 Les Egyptiens ensevelissaient ceux des leurs que Yahvé avait frappés, tous les premiers-nés;Yahvé avait fait justice de leurs dieux.	4 While the Egyptians buried their first-born all of whom the LORD had struck down; on their gods, too, the LORD executed judgments.
5 Les Israélites partirent de Ramsès et campèrent à Sukkot.	5 Setting out from Rameses, the Israelites camped at Succoth.
6 Puis ils partirent de Sukkot et campèrent à Etam, qui est aux confins du désert.	6 Setting out from Succoth, they camped at Etham near the edge of the desert.
7 Ils partirent d'Etam, ils revinrent sur Pi-Hahirot, qui est en face de Baal-Cephôn, et campèrentdevant Migdol.	7 Setting out from Etham, they turned back to Pi-hahiroth, which is opposite Baal-zephon, and they camped opposite Migdol.
8 Ils partirent de Pi-Hahirot, ils gagnèrent le désert en passant à travers la mer, et après trois joursde marche dans le désert d'Etam ils campèrent à Mara.	8 Setting out from Pi-hahiroth, they crossed over through the sea into the desert, and after a three days' journey in the desert of Etham, they camped at Marah.
9 Ils partirent de Mara et arrivèrent à Elim. A Elim il y a douze sources d'eau et 70 palmiers; ilscampèrent là.	9 Setting out from Marah, they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they camped there.
10 Ils partirent d'Elim et campèrent près de la mer des Roseaux.	10 Setting out from Elim, they camped beside the Red Sea.
11 Ils partirent de la mer des Roseaux et campèrent dans le désert de Sîn.	11 Setting out from the Red Sea, they camped in the desert of Sin.

37 Ils partirent de Cadès et campèrent à Hor-la-Montagne, aux confins du pays d'Edom.	37 Setting out from Kadesh, they camped at Mount Hor on the border of the land of Edom.
38 Aaron, le prêtre, monta à Hor-la-Montagne sur l'ordre de Yahvé et c'est là qu'il mourut, dans laquarantième année de l'exode des Israélites hors du pays d'Egypte, au cinquième mois, le premier du mois.	38 (Aaron the priest ascended Mount Hor at the LORD'S command, and there he died in the fortieth year from the departure of the Israelites from the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month.
39 Aaron avait 123 ans lorsqu'il mourut à Hor-la-Montagne.	39 Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40 Le roi d'Arad, un Cananéen qui habitait le Négeb au pays de Canaan, fut informé lors del'arrivée des Israélites.	40 Now, when the Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negeb in the land of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming. . . . )
41 Ils partirent de Hor-la-Montagne et campèrent à Calmona.	41 Setting out from Mount Hor,-They camped at Zalmonah.
42 Ils partirent de Calmona et campèrent à Punôn.	42 Setting out from Zalmonah, they camped at Punon.
43 Ils partirent de Punôn et campèrent à Obot.	43 Setting out from Punon, they camped at Oboth.
44 Ils partirent de Obot et campèrent sur le territoire de Moab à Iyyé-ha-Abarim.	44 Setting out from Oboth, they camped at Iye-abarim on the border of Moab.
45 Ils partirent de Iyyim et campèrent à Dibôn-Gad.	45 Setting out from Iye-abarim, they camped at Dibon-gad.
46 Ils partirent de Dibôn-Gad et campèrent à Almôn-Diblatayim.	46 Setting out from Dibon-gad, they camped at Almon-diblathaim.

48 Ils partirent des monts Abarim et campèrent aux Steppes de Moab, près du Jourdain versJéricho.	48 Setting out from the Abarim Mountains, they camped on the plains of Moab along the Jericho stretch of the Jordan.
49 Ils campèrent près du Jourdain entre Bet-ha-Yeshimot et Abel-ha-Shittim, dans les Steppes deMoab.	49 Their camp along the Jordan on the plains of Moab extended from Beth-jeshimoth to Abelshittim.
50 Yahvé parla à Moïse, dans les Steppes de Moab, près du Jourdain vers Jéricho. Il dit:	50 The LORD spoke to Moses on the plains of Moab beside the Jericho stretch of the Jordan and said to him:
51 "Parle aux Israélites; tu leur diras: Quand vous aurez passé le Jourdain vers le pays de Canaan,	51 "Tell the Israelites: When you go across the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
52 vous chasserez devant vous tous les habitants du pays. Vous détruirez leurs images peintes,vous détruirez toutes leurs statues de métal fondu et vous saccagerez tous leurs hauts lieux.	52 drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you; destroy all their stone figures and molten images, and demolish all their high places.
53 Vous posséderez ce pays et vous y demeurerez, car je vous ai donné ce pays pour domaine.	53 "You shall take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land as your property.
54 Vous le partagerez au sort entre vos clans. A celui qui est nombreux vous ferez une plus grandepart d'héritage, à celui qui est moins nombreux vous ferez une plus petite part d'héritage. Là où le sort tomberapour chacun, là sera son domaine. Vous ferez le partage dans vos tribus.	54 You shall apportion the land among yourselves by lot, clan by clan, assigning a large heritage to a large group and a small heritage to a small group. Wherever anyone's lot falls, there shall his property be within the heritage of his ancestral tribe.
55 Mais si vous ne chassez pas devant vous les habitants du pays, ceux d'entre eux que vous aurezlaissés deviendront des épines dans vos yeux et des chardons dans vos flancs, ils vous presseront dans le paysque vous habiterez	55 "But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, those whom you allow to remain will become as barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they will harass you in the country where you live,
56 et je vous traiterai comme j'avais pensé les traiter."	56 and I will treat you as I had intended to treat them."
