1 Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.	1 Todo o Israel se reuniu com Davi em Hebron, e disse: Vê: nós somos teus ossos e tua carne.
2 And moreover in time past, even when Saul was king, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD thy God said unto thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be ruler over my people Israel, and thou shalt be ruler over my people Israel.	2 Já antes, quando Saul era rei, eras tu que conduzias os destinos de Israel. O Senhor, teu Deus, te disse: És tu que apascentarás Israel, meu povo, e serás tu o chefe de Israel, meu povo.
3 Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.	3 Assim todos os anciãos de Israel vieram para junto do rei em Hebron, e Davi concluiu um pacto com eles em Hebron, diante do Senhor; e eles ungiram-no rei de Israel, segundo a palavra do Senhor, pronunciada por Samuel.
4 And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land.	4 Foi Davi com todo o Israel contra Jerusalém, isto é, Jebus, onde estavam os jebuseus, habitantes da terra.
5 And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come hither. Nevertheless David took the castle of Zion, which is the city of David.	5 Os jebuseus disseram a Davi: Aqui tu não entrarás. Mas Davi se apoderou da fortaleza de Sião, isto é, da cidade de Davi.
6 And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief.	6 O primeiro, disse ele, seja quem for, que vencer os jebuseus, tornar-se-á chefe e príncipe. O primeiro que subiu foi Joab, filho de Sarvia, e tornou-se chefe.
7 And David dwelt in the castle; therefore they called it the city of David.	7 Davi instalou-se na fortaleza; é por isso que a chamaram cidade de Davi.
8 And he built the city round about, even from Millo round about: and Joab repaired the rest of the city.	8 Ele fortificou a cidade ao redor, desde Milo até seus arredores, e Joab restaurou o resto da cidade.
9 So David waxed greater and greater: for the LORD of hosts was with him.	9 Davi tornou-se cada vez maior, e o Deus dos exércitos estava com ele.
10 These also are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened themselves with him in his kingdom, and with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.	10 Eis os chefes dos heróis que estavam a serviço de Davi e que o ajudaram com todo o Israel a assegurar seu domínio, a fim de fazê-lo rei, segundo a palavra do Senhor, com respeito a Israel.
11 And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had; Jashobeam, and Hachmonite, the chief of the captains: he lifted up his spear against three hundred slain by him at one time.	11 Eis o número dos heróis que estavam a serviço de Davi: Jesbaão, chefe dos trinta: ele brandiu sua lança contra trezentos homens e os abateu de uma só vez.
12 And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighties.	12 Depois deste, Eleazar, filho de Dodo, o aoíta, um dos três heróis.
13 He was with David at Pas-dammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where was a parcel of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.	13 Estava ele com Davi em Fesdomim, onde os filisteus se tinham reunido para o combate. Lá havia uma terra plantada de cevada, e o exército fugia diante dos filisteus.
14 And they set themselves in the midst of that parcel, and delivered it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great deliverance.	14 Eles se postaram no meio do campo, defenderam-no e destroçaram os filisteus; e o Senhor assegurou uma grande vitória.
15 Now three of the thirty captains went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the host of the Philistines encamped in the valley of Rephaim.	15 Três dos trinta capitães desceram à rocha, para perto de Davi, junto da caverna de Odolão, enquanto o acampamento dos filisteus estava levantado no vale dos refains.
16 And David was then in the hold, and the Philistines' garrison was then at Bethlehem.	16 Ora, Davi estava na caverna e havia uma guarnição de filisteus em Belém.
17 And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that is at the gate!	17 Davi exprimiu um desejo: Quem me dará de beber, disse ele, da água da cisterna que está às portas de Belém?
18 And the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to the LORD,	18 Os três homens atravessaram acampamento dos filisteus e tiraram água da cisterna que está à porta de Belém. Eles tomaram e a levaram a Davi, mas Davi não quis bebê-la e fez dela uma libação ao Senhor:
19 And said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this thing: shall I drink the blood of these men that have put their lives in jeopardy? for with the jeopardy of their lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mightiest.	19 Deus me livre, disse ele, de beber semelhante coisa! Haveria eu de beber o sangue desses homens? Pois foi arriscando a própria vida que ma trouxeram. E recusou bebê-la. Eis o que fizeram esses três bravos.
20 And Abishai the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three: for lifting up his spear against three hundred, he slew them, and had a name among the three.	20 Abisai, irmão de Joab, era o chefe dos três; brandiu sua lança contra trezentos homens; matou-os e adquiriu um nome entre os três.
21 Of the three, he was more honourable than the two; for he was their captain: howbeit he attained not to the first three.	21 Era o mais considerado da segunda tríade e foi o seu chefe, mas não se igualou aos três primeiros;
22 Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many acts; he slew two lionlike men of Moab: also he went down and slew a lion in a pit in a snowy day.	22 Banaias, filho de Jojada, homem de valor e rico em altos feitos, originário de Cabseel, foi o que venceu os dois filhos de Ariel, de Moab. Foi ele também quem desceu e matou o leão na cisterna, num dia em que nevava.
23 And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.	23 Foi ele ainda quem venceu um egípcio de cinco côvados de altura; esse egípcio tinha na mão uma lança semelhante a um cilindro de tear de tecelão. Foi contra ele com um bordão, arrancou-lhe a lança das mãos e o matou com a própria lança.
24 These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among the three mighties.	24 Eis o que fez Banaias, filho de Jojada, que foi célebre entre os três valentes.
25 Behold, he was honourable among the thirty, but attained not to the first three: and David set him over his guard.	25 Era mais considerado que os trinta; todavia não se igualou aos três. Davi o colocou à testa de sua guarda.
26 Also the valiant men of the armies were, Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,	26 Valentes homens do exército: Asael, irmão de Joab; Elcanã, filho de Dodo, de Belém;
27 Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,	27 Samot, de Aori; Heles, de Falon:
28 Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abi-ezer the Antothite,	28 Hira, filho de Aces, de Técua;
29 Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,	29 Abieser, de Anatot; Sobocai, o husatita; Ilai, o aoíta; Maarai, de Netofa;
30 Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite,	30 Heled, filho de Baana, de Netofa;
31 Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah, that pertained to the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,	31 Etai, filho de Ribai, de Gabaa, dos filhos de Benjamim; Banaia, de Faraton;
32 Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,	32 Hurai, dos vales de Gaas; Abiel, de Araba; Azmavet, de Baurão; Eliaba, de Salabon; Bené-Assem de Gezon;
33 Azmaveth the Baharumite, Eliahba the Shaalbonite,	33 Jonatã, filho de Sage, de Arar;
34 The sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shage the Hararite,	34 Aião, filho de Sacar, de Arar;
35 Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur,	35 Elifal, filho de Ur; Hefer, de Mequera;
36 Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite,	36 Aia, de Felon; Hesro, de Carmelo;
37 Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the son of Ezbai,	37 Naarai, filho de Asbai; Joel, irmão de Natã;
38 Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the son of Haggeri,	38 Mibaar, filho de Agarai;
39 Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armourbearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,	39 Selec, o amonita; Naarai, de Berot, escudeiro de Joab, filho de Sarvia;

42 Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a captain of the Reubenites, and thirty with him,	42 Adina, filho de Siza, filho de Rubem, chefe dos rubenitas, e com ele trinta homens;
43 Hanan the son of Maachah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,	43 Hanã, filho de Maaca; Josafá, de Matã;
44 Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jehiel the sons of Hothan the Aroerite,	44 Ozías, de Astarot; Sarna e Jeiel, filhos de Hotão, de Aroer;
45 Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite,	45 Jediel, filho de Samri; Joa, seu irmão, o tosaíta;
46 Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,	46 Eliel, de Maum; Jeribai e Josaia, filhos de Elnaem; Jetma, o moabita;
