1 E David, antico e pieno di dì, fece re sopra Israel Salomone suo figliuolo.	1 Then David, being old and full of days, appointed his son Solomon as king over Israel.
2 E congregoe tutti i prìncipi d' Israel, e tutti i sacerdoti e Leviti.	2 And he gathered together all the leaders of Israel, with the priests as well as the Levites.
3 E furono numerati i Leviti da XXX anni in suso; e trovossi di loro XXXVIII milia d' uomini.	3 And the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward. And there were found thirty-eight thousand men.
4 Di questi ne furono eletti e distribuiti in servizio della casa di Dio XXIIII milia, e di preposti e di giudici VI milia;	4 Of these, twenty-four thousand were chosen and distributed to the ministry of the house of the Lord. Then six thousand were overseers and judges.
5 e IIII milia portieri; e altrettanti che cantassero al Signore in organi, li quali avea fatti a cantare.	5 Moreover, four thousand were porters. And the same number were the singers of psalms to the Lord, with the musical instruments which he had made for the music.
6 E distribuilli David secondo le mute de' figliuoli di Levi, cioè: Gerson e Caat e Merari.	6 And David distributed them into courses according to the sons of Levi, specifically, Gershom, and Kohath, and Merari.
7 E' [figliuoli di] Gerson; Leedan e Semei.	7 The sons of Gershom: Ladan and Shimei.
8 I figliuoli di Leedan: principe Iaiel e Zetan e Ioel, tre.	8 The sons of Ladan: the leader Jahiel, and Zetham, and Joel, three.
9 I figliuoli di Semei: Salomit e Osiel e Aran; questi tre principi delle famiglie di Leedan.	9 The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, and Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the leaders of the families of Ladan.
10 E i figliuoli di Semei: Leet, Ziza e Iaus e Baria; questi quattro sono figliuoli di Semei.	10 Then the sons of Shimei: Jahath, and Zizah, and Jeush, and Beriah. These were the sons of Shimei, four.
11 Ed era Leet il prim?, Ziza il secondo: Iaus e Baria non ebbeno molti figliuoli, e però furono numerati in una famiglia e in una casa.	11 Now Jahath was first, Zizah second, but Jeush and Beriah did not have many sons, and for this reason they were reckoned as one family and one house.
12 I figliuoli di Caat: Amram e Isaar, Ebron e Oziel, quattro.	12 The sons of Kohath: Amram and Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel, four.
13 I figliuoli di Amram: Aaron e Moisè; e fu partito Aaron, che ministrasse in SANCTA SANCTORUM, egli e' suoi figliuoli in sempiterno, e offerisse lo incenso al Signore secondo il modo suo, e (che) benedicesse il suo nome in perpetuo.	13 The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. Now Aaron was separated so that he might minister in the Holy of Holies, he and his sons forever, and so that he might burn incense to the Lord, according to his rite, and so that he might bless his name in perpetuity.
14 I figliuoli di Moisè, uomo di Dio, furono numerati nella tribù di Levi.	14 The sons of Moses, the man of God, were also numbered in the tribe of Levi.
15 I figliuoli di Moisè: Gersom e Eliezer.	15 The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.
16 I figliuoli di Gersom: Subuel primo.	16 The sons of Gershom: Shebuel the first.
17 I figliuoli di Eliezer: Roobia [primo]; e non ebbe Eliezer altri figliuoli. I figliuoli di Roobia moltiplicarono troppo.	17 Now the sons of Eliezer were Rehabiah the first. And there were no other sons for Eliezer. But the sons of Rehabiah were multiplied exceedingly.
18 E i figliuoli di Isaar: Salomit primo.	18 The sons of Izhar: Shelomith the first.
19 I figliuoli di Ebron: Ieriau primo, Amaria secondo, Iaaziel terzo, Iecmaam quarto.	19 The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.
20 I figliuoli di Oziel: Mica il primo, Iesia il secondo.	20 The sons of Uzziel: Micah the first, Isshiah the second.
21 I figliuoli di Merari: Mooli e Musi. I figliuoli di Mooli Eleazar e Cis.	21 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.
22 E morìo Eleazar, e non ebbe figliuoli, ma ebbe figliuole; e tolserle i figliuoli di Cis, loro fratelli.	22 Then Eleazar died, and had no sons, but only daughters. And so the sons of Kish, their brothers, married them.
23 E i figliuoli di Musi: Mooli ed Eder e Ierimot, tre.	23 The sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jeremoth, three.
24 Questi sono i figliuoli di Levi nelle loro cognazioni e famiglie, prìncipi secondo le mute, e secondo il numero de' capi di ciascuno, i quali faceano l'opera del ministerio della casa di Dio, da XX anni in suso.	24 These are the sons of Levi, in their kindred and families, leaders in turns, and the number of each of the heads who were doing the works of the ministry of the house of the Lord, from twenty years of age and upward.
25 E avea detto David: il Signore Iddio hae dato requie al suo popolo, e abitazione in Ierusalem insino in sempiterno.	25 For David said: “The Lord, the God of Israel, has given rest to his people, and a habitation in Jerusalem even unto eternity.
26 E non sarà officio de' Leviti, che portino più il tabernacolo, e tutte le vasa sue a ministrare.	26 Neither shall it be the office of the Levites any more to carry the tabernacle with all its equipment for use in the ministry.”
27 E secondo (tutti) gli ultimi comandamenti di David, sarà ordinato il numero de' figliuoli di Levi da XX anni in su.	27 Also, according to the last precepts of David, the sons of Levi shall be counted by number from twenty years of age and upward.
28 E saranno sotto le mani de' figliuoli di Aaron nel coltivamento della casa del Signore, nelli vestiboli, nelle sedie, nel luogo della purificazione e nel santuario, e in tutte le opere del ministerio del tempio del Signore.	28 And they shall be under the hand of the sons of Aaron, in the care of the house of the Lord, in the vestibule, and in the chambers, and in the place of purification, and in the sanctuary, and in all the works of the ministry of the temple of the Lord.
29 E i sacerdoti saranno sopra il pane della proposizione, e sopra il sacrificio della similia, e sopra i crostoli e le azime e le padelle da friggere, e sopra ogni peso e misura.	29 But the priests shall be over the bread of the presence, and the sacrifice of fine wheat flour, and the unleavened cakes, and the frying pan, and the roasting, and over every weight and measure.
30 Ei Leviti, che stesseno la mattina a confessare e a cantare al Signore; e somigliantemente a vespro,	30 Yet truly, the Levites shall stand to confess and to sing to the Lord, in the morning, and similarly in the evening,
31 così nella oblazione degli olocausti del Signore, come negli sabbati e calende e tutte altre festivitadi, secondo il numero e secondo l'ordine di ciascuna cosa, continuamente nel cospetto di Dio.	31 as much in the oblation of the holocausts of the Lord, as in the Sabbaths and new moons and other solemnities, according to the number and ceremonies for each and every matter, perpetually before the Lord.
32 E che osservassero le osservanze del tabernacolo del patto, e (secondo) il modo del santuario, e (secondo) le osservanze de' figliuoli di Aaron loro fratelli, e ministrassero nella casa del Signore.	32 And let them keep the observances of the tabernacle of the covenant, and the rituals of the sanctuary, and the observance of the sons of Aaron, their brothers, so that they may minister in the house of the Lord.
