1 Il Signore disse a Mosè:	1 The LORD said to Moses,
2 "Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Quando entrerete nella terra della vostra dimora che io voglio darvi	2 "Give the Israelites these instructions: When you have entered the land that I will give you for your homesteads,
3 e farete un sacrificio di fuoco al Signore, olocausto o sacrificio, per compiere un voto, o spontaneamente o nelle vostre feste, per fare odore gradevole al Signore, del grosso o piccolo bestiame,	3 if you make to the LORD a sweet-smelling oblation from the herd or from the flock, in holocaust, in fulfillment of a vow, or as a freewill offering, or for one of your festivals,
4 chi presenterà, offrirà come suo dono al Signore un'offerta di un decimo di fior di farina intrisa in un quarto di hin di olio,	4 whoever does so shall also present to the LORD a cereal offering consisting of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a fourth of a hin of oil,
5 un quarto di hin di vino per la libazione: la aggiungerai all'olocausto e al sacrificio per un agnello.	5 as well as a libation of a fourth of a hin of wine, with each lamb sacrificed in holocaust or otherwise.

8 Se farai un olocausto o un sacrificio di un vitello per compiere un voto o un sacrificio di pace al Signore,	8 When you sacrifice an ox as a holocaust, or in fulfillment of a vow, or as a peace offering to the LORD,
9 offrirai, oltre al vitello, un'offerta di tre decimi di efa di fior di farina, intrisa in un mezzo hin di olio,	9 with it you shall present a cereal offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil,
10 e offrirai un mezzo hin di vino in libazione: è un sacrificio di fuoco, di profumo gradevole al Signore.	10 and a libation of half a hin of wine, as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
11 Così si farà per un toro o per un montone o per un capo di pecora o capra.	11 The same is to be done for each ox, ram, lamb or goat.
12 Secondo il numero degli animali che offrirete, così farete per ciascun sacrificio.	12 Whatever the number you offer, do the same for each of them.
13 Ogni indigeno farà così quelle cose, quando offrirà un sacrificio di fuoco in profumo gradevole al Signore.	13 "All the native-born shall make these offerings in the same way, whenever they present a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
14 Se uno straniero abiterà con voi o chi sarà in mezzo a voi per generazioni farà un sacrificio di fuoco in profumo gradevole al Signore, farà come farete voi.	14 Likewise, in any future generation, any alien residing with you permanently or for a time, who presents a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD, shall do as you do.
15 L'assemblea avrà una prescrizione unica per voi e per lo straniero che vi dimora, una prescrizione perenne per le vostre generazioni: come voi, così sarà lo straniero davanti al Signore.	15 There is but one rule for you and for the resident alien, a perpetual rule for all your descendants. Before the LORD you and the alien are alike,
16 Una legge unica e un'unica usanza avrete voi e lo straniero che dimora con voi".	16 with the same law and the same application of it for the alien residing among you as for yourselves."
17 Il Signore disse a Mosè:	17 The LORD said to Moses,
18 "Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Quando entrerete nella terra dove io vi conduco,	18 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land into which I will bring you
19 e mangerete il pane della terra, farete un'offerta al Signore.	19 and begin to eat of the food of that land, you shall offer the LORD a contribution
20 Come primizia della vostra pasta, eleverete secondo il rito una focaccia: la eleverete come si fa per l'elevazione dell'offerta dell'aia.	20 consisting of a cake of your first batch of dough. You shall offer it just as you offer a contribution from the threshing floor.
21 Darete le primizie della vostra pasta al Signore, in offerta per le vostre generazioni.	21 Throughout your generations you shall give a contribution to the LORD from your first batch of dough.
22 Se inavvertitamente non compirete tutti quei precetti che il Signore ha detto a Mosè,	22 "When through inadvertence you fail to carry out any of these commandments which the LORD gives to Moses,
23 tutto quello che il Signore vi ha ordinato per Mosè dal giorno in cui il Signore vi ha dato i suoi ordini e in seguito, per le vostre generazioni,	23 and through Moses to you, from the time the LORD first issues the commandment down through your generations:

25 Il sacerdote espierà per tutta la comunità dei figli d'Israele, e sarà loro perdonato, perché era per inavvertenza, ed essi hanno portato come loro offerta un sacrificio di fuoco al Signore e il loro sacrificio per il peccato davanti al Signore per il loro errore.	25 Then the priest shall make atonement for the whole Israelite community; thus they will be forgiven the inadvertence for which they have brought their holocaust as an oblation to the LORD.
26 Sarà perdonato a tutta la comunità dei figli d'Israele e allo straniero che dimora in mezzo a loro, perché tutto il popolo fu inavvertitamente in colpa.	26 Not only the whole Israelite community, but also the aliens residing among you, shall be forgiven, since the fault of inadvertence affects all the people.
27 Se un individuo avrà peccato per inavvertenza, offrirà una capra di un anno come sacrificio per il peccato.	27 "However, if it is an individual who sins inadvertently, he shall bring a yearling she-goat as a sin offering,
28 Il sacerdote espierà per l'individuo in errore, per il peccato d'inavvertenza davanti al Signore, in modo che si espii per lui e gli sia perdonato.	28 and the priest shall make atonement before the LORD for him who sinned inadvertently; when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven.
29 Avrete una legge unica per chi agisce inavvertitamente, indigeno tra i figli d'Israele e straniero che dimora in mezzo a loro.	29 You shall have but one law for him who sins inadvertently, whether he be a native Israelite or an alien residing with you.
30 L'individuo che agisce con mano alzata, sia indigeno che straniero, oltraggia il Signore: quell'individuo sarà eliminato dal suo popolo,	30 "But anyone who sins defiantly, whether he be a native or an alien, insults the LORD, and shall be cut off from among his people.
31 perché ha disprezzato la parola del Signore e infranto il suo precetto. Quell'individuo sia eliminato: la sua colpa è in lui".	31 Since he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken his commandment, he must be cut off. He has only himself to blame."
32 Mentre i figli d'Israele erano nel deserto, trovarono un uomo che raccoglieva legna in giorno di sabato.	32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was discovered gathering wood on the sabbath day.
33 Quelli che lo trovarono a raccogliere legna lo presentarono a Mosè, ad Aronne e a tutta la comunità:	33 Those who caught him at it brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly.
34 lo misero sotto sorveglianza, perché non era stabilito che cosa fargli.	34 But they kept him in custody, for there was no clear decision as to what should be done with him.
35 Il Signore disse a Mosè: "L'uomo morirà: lo lapiderà tutta la comunità fuori dell'accampamento".	35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "This man shall be put to death; let the whole community stone him outside the camp."
36 E tutta la comunità lo fece uscire fuori dell'accampamento, lo lapidarono e morì, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.	36 So the whole community led him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
37 Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè:	37 The LORD said to Moses,
38 "Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro che si facciano delle frange alle estremità dei loro vestiti nelle loro generazioni e mettano alle frange dell'estremità un filo di porpora.	38 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them that they and their descendants must put tassels on the corners of their garments, fastening each corner tassel with a violet cord.
39 Sarà la vostra frangia: la vedrete e vi ricorderete di tutti i precetti del Signore: li compirete, senza vagare dietro ai vostri cuori e ai vostri occhi, seguendo i quali vi prostituite.	39 When you use these tassels, let the sight of them remind you to keep all the commandments of the LORD, without going wantonly astray after the desires of your hearts and eyes.
40 Così vi ricorderete e praticherete tutti i miei precetti, e sarete santi per il vostro Dio.	40 Thus you will remember to keep all my commandments and be holy to your God.
41 Io sono il Signore, vostro Dio, che vi ho fatto uscire dalla terra d'Egitto per essere il vostro Dio. Io, il Signore, sono il vostro Dio".	41 I, the LORD, am your God who, as God, brought you out of Egypt that I, the LORD, may be your God."
