| 15 Però Ismaele, figlio di Natania, poté scampare con otto uomini di fronte a Giovanni e se ne andò presso gli Ammoniti. | 15 But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah escaped from Johanan with eight men, and went to the Ammonites. |
| 16 Allora Giovanni, figlio di Kàreca, e tutti i prìncipi che erano con lui, presero tutto il resto del popolo che Ismaele, figlio di Natania, aveva deportato da Mizpà dopo aver ucciso Godolia, figlio di Achikàm: erano valorosi uomini di guerra, donne, fanciulli ed eunuchi quelli che ricondussero da Gàbaon. | 16 Then Johanan the son of Kareah and all the leaders of the forces with him took all the rest of the people whom Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had carried away captive from Mizpah after he had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam--soldiers, women, children, and eunuchs, whom Johanan brought back from Gibeon. |
