| 1 Il Signore disse poi a Mosè: "Dirai ai figli d'Israele: | 1 The LORD said to Moses, |
| 2 Chiunque tra i figli d'Israele e i residenti in Israele dia un suo figlio a Moloch, sia messo a morte; la gente del paese lo lapidi. | 2 "Say to the people of Israel, Any man of the people of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, who gives any of his children to Molech shall be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones. |
| 3 Io mi volgerò contro quest'uomo e lo eliminerò di mezzo al suo popolo, perché ha dato uno dei suoi figli a Moloch, per rendere impuro il mio santuario e profanare il mio santo nome. | 3 I myself will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given one of his children to Molech, defiling my sanctuary and profaning my holy name. |
| 4 Se la gente del paese chiuderà gli occhi davanti a quest'uomo, mentre dà un suo figlio a Moloch, senza metterlo a morte, | 4 And if the people of the land do at all hide their eyes from that man, when he gives one of his children to Molech, and do not put him to death, |
| 5 sarò io a volgermi contro quell'uomo e contro la sua famiglia ed eliminerò lui di mezzo al suo popolo e tutti quelli che si prostituiscono, seguendo lui nel prostituirsi a Moloch. | 5 then I will set my face against that man and against his family, and will cut them off from among their people, him and all who follow him in playing the harlot after Molech. |
| 6 Se uno si volgerà agli spettri e agli indovini, prostituendosi dietro di essi, io mi volgerò contro quest'uomo e lo eliminerò di mezzo al suo popolo. | 6 "If a person turns to mediums and wizards, playing the harlot after them, I will set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people. |
| 7 Santificatevi e siate santi, perché io sono il Signore Dio vostro. | 7 Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am the LORD your God. |
| 8 Osservate le mie leggi e mettetele in pratica. Io sono il Signore che vi santifica. | 8 Keep my statutes, and do them; I am the LORD who sanctify you. |
| 9 Chiunque maledirà suo padre e sua madre sia messo a morte: ha maledetto suo padre e sua madre; il suo sangue ricada sopra di lui. | 9 For every one who curses his father or his mother shall be put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother, his blood is upon him. |
| 10 Chiunque commetta adulterio con una donna sposata, chiunque commetta adulterio con la donna del suo prossimo, siano messi a morte l'adultero e l'adultera. | 10 "If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death. |
| 11 Chiunque abbia giaciuto con la moglie di suo padre, ha scoperto la nudità di suo padre; siano messi a morte ambedue. Il loro sangue ricada su di essi. | 11 The man who lies with his father's wife has uncovered his father's nakedness; both of them shall be put to death, their blood is upon them. |
| 12 Chiunque abbia giaciuto con la nuora, siano messi a morte ambedue: hanno compiuto un'oscenità. Il loro sangue ricada su di essi. | 12 If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall be put to death; they have committed incest, their blood is upon them. |
| 13 Chiunque abbia giaciuto con un uomo come si giace con una donna, hanno compiuto tutti e due un'abominazione; siano messi a morte. Il loro sangue ricada su di essi. | 13 If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them. |
| 14 Chiunque prenda per moglie una donna insieme a sua madre: è un incesto. Si bruceranno lui e loro, affinché non ci sia tra di voi tale incesto. | 14 If a man takes a wife and her mother also, it is wickedness; they shall be burned with fire, both he and they, that there may be no wickedness among you. |
| 15 Chiunque abbia dato il suo giaciglio a un animale, sia messo a morte, e l'animale l'ucciderete. | 15 If a man lies with a beast, he shall be put to death; and you shall kill the beast. |
| 16 Se una donna si avvicina a un animale per accoppiarsi con esso, ucciderai la donna e l'animale; ambedue siano messi a morte. Il loro sangue ricada su di essi. | 16 If a woman approaches any beast and lies with it, you shall kill the woman and the beast; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them. |
| 17 Se un uomo prende in moglie sua sorella, figlia di suo padre o figlia di sua madre, ne vede la nudità ed ella vede la nudità di lui: è un'ignominia; siano eliminati alla presenza dei figli del loro popolo. Ha scoperto la nudità di sua sorella: porti le conseguenze del suo peccato. | 17 "If a man takes his sister, a daughter of his father or a daughter of his mother, and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness, it is a shameful thing, and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people; he has uncovered his sister's nakedness, he shall bear his iniquity. |
| 18 Se un uomo ha giaciuto con una donna durante le sue regole, e ne ha scoperto la nudità, ha messo a nudo la fonte del suo sangue ed essa ha scoperto la fonte del suo sangue: siano eliminati ambedue di mezzo al loro popolo. | 18 If a man lies with a woman having her sickness, and uncovers her nakedness, he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood; both of them shall be cut off from among their people. |
| 19 Non scoprirai la nudità della sorella di tua madre o della sorella di tuo padre, perché scopriresti la sua stessa carne: ambedue porteranno il peso del loro peccato. | 19 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister or of your father's sister, for that is to make naked one's near kin; they shall bear their iniquity. |
| 20 Un uomo che abbia giaciuto con la propria zia ha scoperto la nudità di suo zio; portino il peso del loro peccato: muoiano senza figli. | 20 If a man lies with his uncle's wife, he has uncovered his uncle's nakedness; they shall bear their sin, they shall die childless. |
| 21 Se uno sposa la moglie di suo fratello, è una impurità: ha scoperto la nudità di suo fratello; non abbiano figli. | 21 If a man takes his brother's wife, it is impurity; he has uncovered his brother's nakedness, they shall be childless. |
| 22 Osservate tutte le mie leggi e tutti i miei precetti e metteteli in pratica, e la terra in cui vi conduco per abitarla non vi vomiterà. | 22 "You shall therefore keep all my statutes and all my ordinances, and do them; that the land where I am bringing you to dwell may not vomit you out. |
| 23 Non comportatevi secondo le leggi dei popoli che scaccio davanti a voi, perché essi hanno fatto tutte queste cose e io mi sono disgustato di loro. | 23 And you shall not walk in the customs of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them. |
| 24 Ma a voi dico: voi prenderete possesso della loro terra e io ve la darò in possesso, una terra che stilla latte e miele! Io sono il Signore Dio vostro che vi ha separato di mezzo ai popoli. | 24 But I have said to you, 'You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey.' I am the LORD your God, who have separated you from the peoples. |
| 25 Separate gli animali puri da quelli impuri, e gl'impuri dai puri fra gli uccelli e non contaminatevi con gli animali e con gli uccelli e con qualsiasi bestia che strisci sul suolo, che io ho separato per voi come impuri. | 25 You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean beast and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean; you shall not make yourselves abominable by beast or by bird or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have set apart for you to hold unclean. |
| 26 Siate santi per me, perché santo sono io il Signore, e vi separo dai popoli per essere miei. | 26 You shall be holy to me; for I the LORD am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine. |
| 27 Un uomo o una donna fra voi che sia negromante o indovino sia messo a morte: li lapiderete. Il loro sangue ricada su di loro". | 27 "A man or a woman who is a medium or a wizard shall be put to death; they shall be stoned with stones, their blood shall be upon them." |
