LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Alleluia. Lodate il Signore dai cieli, lodatelo dalle altezze.	1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh from the heavens, praise him in the heights.
2 Lodatelo, voi tutti suoi angeli, lodatelo, voi tutte sue schiere.	2 Praise him, all his angels, praise him, al his host!
3 Lodatelo, sole e luna. Lodatelo, voi tutte stelle lucenti.	3 Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, al shining stars,
4 Lodatelo, cieli dei cieli, e acque che state al di sopra dei cieli.	4 praise him, highest heavens, praise him, waters above the heavens.
5 Lodino il nome del Signore, poiché comandò e furono creati;	5 Let them praise the name of Yahweh at whose command they were made;
6 li stabilì per sempre, in eterno: diede un ordine che non verrà mai meno.	6 he established them for ever and ever by an unchanging decree.
7 Lodate il Signore dalla terra: voi mostri marini e tutti gli abissi;	7 Praise Yahweh from the earth, sea-monsters and all the depths,
8 fuoco e grandine, neve e nebbia; vento di tempesta che adempie la sua parola.	8 fire and hail, snow and mist, storm-winds that obey his word,
9 Voi monti e ogni specie di alture, alberi fruttiferi e tutti voi cedri.	9 mountains and every hill, orchards and every cedar,
10 Voi fiere e ogni specie di bestiame, rettili e uccelli alati.	10 wild animals and al cattle, reptiles and winged birds,
11 Re della terra e voi popoli tutti, prìncipi e tutti voi, giudici della terra.	11 kings of the earth and al nations, princes and all judges on earth,
12 Giovani e ragazze, vecchi e fanciulli:	12 young men and girls, old people and children together.
13 lodino il nome del Signore, poiché soltanto il suo nome è sublime, la sua maestà è sulla terra e nei cieli.	13 Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for his name alone is sublime, his splendour transcends earthand heaven.
14 Egli ha innalzato la potenza del suo popolo. Lode di tutti i suoi fedeli, i figli d'Israele, popolo che gli è vicino. Alleluia.	14 For he heightens the strength of his people, to the praise of al his faithful, the children of Israel, thepeople close to him.
