1 You may be quite sure that in the last days there will be some difficult times.	1 Debes saber esto: en los últimos días se presentarán tiempos difíciles,
2 People wil be self-centred and avaricious, boastful, arrogant and rude; disobedient to their parents,ungrateful, irreligious;	2 pues los hombres serán egoístas, avariciosos, fanfarrones, soberbios, blasfemos, desobedientes a sus padres, ingratos, irreligiosos,
3 heartless and intractable; they wil be slanderers, profligates, savages and enemies of everything that isgood;	3 despiadados, desleales, calumniadores, desenfrenados, brutales, enemigos del bien,
4 they wil be treacherous and reckless and demented by pride, preferring their own pleasure to God.	4 traidores, precipitados, engreídos, amigos del placer más que de Dios;
5 They wil keep up the outward appearance of religion but wil have rejected the inner power of it. Keepaway from people like that.	5 tendrán la apariencia de piedad, pero habrán renegado de su fuerza. Apártate también de estos.
6 Of the same kind, too, are those men who insinuate themselves into families in order to get influenceover sil y women who are obsessed with their sins and follow one craze after another,	6 A este grupo pertenecen los que se introducen en las casas y cautivan a mujerzuelas cargadas de pecados, arrastradas por pasiones de todo tipo,
7 always seeking learning, but unable ever to come to knowledge of the truth.	7 que siempre están aprendiendo y nunca logran llegar al conocimiento de la verdad.
8 Just as Jannes and Jambres defied Moses, so these men defy the truth, their minds corrupt and theirfaith spurious.	8 Lo mismo que Yannes y Yambrés se opusieron a Moisés, así también estos se oponen a la verdad; son hombres de mente corrompida, descalificados en lo que se refiere a la fe.
9 But they will not be able to go on much longer: their fol y, like that of the other two, must become obviousto everybody.	9 Pero no irán adelante, pues su estupidez será notoria a la vista de todos, como lo fue también la de aquellos.
10 You, though, have followed my teaching, my way of life, my aims, my faith, my patience and my love,my perseverance	10 Tú, en cambio, me has seguido en la doctrina, la conducta, los propósitos, la fe, la magnanimidad, el amor, la paciencia,
11 and the persecutions and sufferings that came to me in places like Antioch, Iconium and Lystra -- althe persecutions I have endured; and the Lord has rescued me from every one of them.	11 las persecuciones y los padecimientos, como aquellos que me sobrevinieron en Antioquía, Iconio y Listra. ¡Qué persecuciones soporté! Y de todas me libró el Señor.
12 But anybody who tries to live in devotion to Christ is certain to be persecuted;	12 Por otra parte, todos los que quieran vivir piadosamente en Cristo Jesús serán perseguidos.
13 while these wicked impostors wil go from bad to worse, deceiving others, and themselves deceived.	13 Pero los malvados y embaucadores irán de mal en peor, engañando a los demás y engañándose ellos mismos.
14 You must keep to what you have been taught and know to be true; remember who your teachers were,	14 Tú, en cambio, permanece en lo que aprendiste y creíste, consciente de quiénes lo aprendiste,
15 and how, ever since you were a child, you have known the holy scriptures -from these you can learnthe wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.	15 y que desde niño conoces las Sagradas Escrituras: ellas pueden darte la sabiduría que conduce a la salvación por medio de la fe en Cristo Jesús.
16 Al scripture is inspired by God and useful for refuting error, for guiding people's lives and teachingthem to be upright.	16 Toda Escritura es inspirada por Dios y además útil para enseñar, para argüir, para corregir, para educar en la justicia,
17 This is how someone who is dedicated to God becomes ful y equipped and ready for any good work.	17 a fin de que el hombre de Dios sea perfecto y esté preparado para toda obra buena.
