1 You may be quite sure that in the last days there will be some difficult times.	1 A wiedz o tym, że w dniach ostatnich nastaną chwile trudne.
2 People wil be self-centred and avaricious, boastful, arrogant and rude; disobedient to their parents,ungrateful, irreligious;	2 Ludzie bowiem będą samolubni, chciwi, wyniośli, pyszni, bluźniący, nieposłuszni rodzicom, niewdzięczni, niegodziwi,
3 heartless and intractable; they wil be slanderers, profligates, savages and enemies of everything that isgood;	3 bez serca, bezlitośni, miotający oszczerstwa, niepohamowani, bez uczuć ludzkich, nieprzychylni,
4 they wil be treacherous and reckless and demented by pride, preferring their own pleasure to God.	4 zdrajcy, zuchwali, nadęci, miłujący bardziej rozkosz niż Boga.
5 They wil keep up the outward appearance of religion but wil have rejected the inner power of it. Keepaway from people like that.	5 Będą okazywać pozór pobożności, ale wyrzekną się jej mocy. I od takich stroń.
6 Of the same kind, too, are those men who insinuate themselves into families in order to get influenceover sil y women who are obsessed with their sins and follow one craze after another,	6 Z takich bowiem są ci, co wślizgują się do domów i przeciągają na swą stronę kobietki obciążone grzechami, powodowane pożądaniami różnego rodzaju,
7 always seeking learning, but unable ever to come to knowledge of the truth.	7 takie, co to zawsze się uczą, a nigdy nie mogą dojść do poznania prawdy.
8 Just as Jannes and Jambres defied Moses, so these men defy the truth, their minds corrupt and theirfaith spurious.	8 Jak Jannes i Jambres wystąpili przeciw Mojżeszowi, tak też i ci przeciwstawiają się prawdzie, ludzie o spaczonym umyśle, którzy nie zdali egzaminu z wiary. Ale dalszego postępu nie osiągną:
9 But they will not be able to go on much longer: their fol y, like that of the other two, must become obviousto everybody.	9 bo ich bezmyślność będzie jawna dla wszystkich, jak i tamtych jawna się stała.
10 You, though, have followed my teaching, my way of life, my aims, my faith, my patience and my love,my perseverance	10 Ty natomiast poszedłeś śladem mojej nauki, sposobu życia, zamierzeń, wiary, cierpliwości, miłości, wytrwałości,
11 and the persecutions and sufferings that came to me in places like Antioch, Iconium and Lystra -- althe persecutions I have endured; and the Lord has rescued me from every one of them.	11 prześladowań, cierpień, jakie mnie spotkały w Antiochii, w Ikonium, w Listrze. Jakież to prześladowania zniosłem - a ze wszystkich wyrwał mnie Pan!
12 But anybody who tries to live in devotion to Christ is certain to be persecuted;	12 I wszystkich, którzy chcą żyć zbożnie w Chrystusie Jezusie, spotkają prześladowania.
13 while these wicked impostors wil go from bad to worse, deceiving others, and themselves deceived.	13 Tymczasem ludzie źli i zwodziciele będą się dalej posuwać ku temu, co gorsze, błądząc i /innych/ w błąd wprowadzając.
14 You must keep to what you have been taught and know to be true; remember who your teachers were,	14 Ty natomiast trwaj w tym, czego się nauczyłeś i co ci zawierzono, bo wiesz, od kogo się nauczyłeś. Od lat bowiem niemowlęcych znasz Pisma święte,
15 and how, ever since you were a child, you have known the holy scriptures -from these you can learnthe wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.	15 które mogą cię nauczyć mądrości wiodącej ku zbawieniu przez wiarę w Chrystusie Jezusie.
16 Al scripture is inspired by God and useful for refuting error, for guiding people's lives and teachingthem to be upright.	16 Wszelkie Pismo od Boga natchnione /jest/ i pożyteczne do nauczania, do przekonywania, do poprawiania, do kształcenia w sprawiedliwości -
17 This is how someone who is dedicated to God becomes ful y equipped and ready for any good work.	17 aby człowiek Boży był doskonały, przysposobiony do każdego dobrego czynu.
