1 Is one of you with a complaint against another so brazen as to seek judgement from sinners and notfrom God's holy people?	1 Si l’un d’entre vous a un différend avec un autre croyant, comment ose-t-il aller en justice devant des païens et non devant les saints?
2 Do you not realise that the holy people of God are to be the judges of the world? And if the world is tobe judged by you, are you not competent for petty cases?	2 Ou bien ignorez-vous que nous, les saints, nous jugerons le monde? Si donc vous êtes appelés à juger le monde, comment n’auriez-vous pas autorité pour juger des choses si minimes?
3 Do you not realise that we shal be the judges of angels? - then quite certainly over matters of this life.	3 Ne savez-vous pas que nous jugerons les anges? À plus forte raison les affaires quotidiennes!
4 But when you have matters of this life to be judged, you bring them before those who are of no accountin the Church!	4 Vous devriez renvoyer ce genre d’affaires aux tout derniers de la communauté!
5 I say this to make you ashamed of yourselves. Can it real y be that it is impossible to find in thecommunity one sensible person capable of deciding questions between brothers,	5 Je le dis à votre honte: c’est à croire qu’il n’y a personne parmi vous qui soit de bon conseil et puisse servir d’arbitre entre ses frères!
6 and that this is why brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?	6 Et c’est ainsi qu’on se traîne en justice entre frères, et cela devant des non-croyants!
7 No; it is a fault in you, by itself, that one of you should go to law against another at al : why do you notprefer to suffer injustice, why not prefer to be defrauded?	7 De toute façon, c’est déjà un échec que d’avoir des procès entre vous. Pourquoi ne pas souffrir plutôt l’injustice? Pourquoi ne pas vous laisser plutôt déposséder?
8 And here you are, doing the injustice and the defrauding, and to your own brothers.	8 Mais non, c’est vous qui commettez l’injustice et qui faites du tort, et c’est à des frères que vous le faites.
9 Do you not realise that people who do evil wil never inherit the kingdom of God? Make no mistake --the sexual y immoral, idolaters, adulterers, the self-indulgent, sodomites,	9 Ignorez-vous que les injustes n’hériteront pas du Royaume de Dieu? Ne vous égarez pas: Ceux qui pratiquent la liberté sexuelle ou adorent les idoles, les adultères, les jouisseurs, ceux qui pratiquent l’homosexualité,
10 thieves, misers, drunkards, slanderers and swindlers, none of these wil inherit the kingdom of God.	10 les voleurs, ceux qui n’en ont jamais assez, les buveurs, les calomniateurs et ceux qui profitent des autres n’hériteront pas du Royaume de Dieu.
11 Some of you used to be of that kind: but you have been washed clean, you have been sanctified, andyou have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and through the Spirit of our God.	11 C’était le cas de plusieurs d’entre vous; mais vous avez été lavés, vous avez été sanctifiés, vous êtes devenus des justes grâce au Nom du Seigneur Jésus Christ et à l’Esprit de notre Dieu.
12 'For me everything is permissible'; maybe, but not everything does good. True, for me everything ispermissible, but I am determined not to be dominated by anything.	12 Tout m’est permis, mais tout n’est pas bon pour moi. Tout m’est permis, mais je ne veux rien qui me rende esclave.
13 Foods are for the stomach, and the stomach is for foods; and God wil destroy them both. But thebody is not for sexual immorality;	13 Les aliments sont pour l’estomac et l’estomac pour les aliments, et Dieu détruira l’un comme l’autre. Par contre le corps n’est pas pour le sexe, mais pour le Seigneur, et le Seigneur est pour le corps.
14 it is for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body. God raised up the Lord and he will raise us up too by hispower.	14 Dieu a ressuscité le Seigneur et, par sa puissance, Il nous ressuscitera aussi.
15 Do you not realise that your bodies are members of Christ's body; do you think one can take parts ofChrist's body and join them to the body of a prostitute? Out of the question!	15 Ne savez-vous pas que vos corps sont les membres du Christ? Alors, puis-je prendre au Christ ses membres et en faire les membres d’une prostituée? Tout sauf cela!
16 Or do you not realise that anyone who attaches himself to a prostitute is one body with her, since thetwo, as it is said, become one flesh.	16 Ne savez-vous donc pas que dans cette union on devient, avec la prostituée, un seul corps? L’Écriture dit: Les deux seront une seule chair.
17 But anyone who attaches himself to the Lord is one spirit with him.	17 Par contre, celui qui s’unit au Seigneur devient un seul esprit avec lui.
18 Keep away from sexual immorality. Al other sins that people may commit are done outside the body;but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.	18 Fuyez les relations défendues. Tout autre péché qu’on peut faire reste extérieur au corps. Mais avec les relations sexuelles on pèche contre son propre corps.
19 Do you not realise that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you and whom youreceived from God?	19 Ne le savez-vous pas: votre corps est un temple de l’Esprit Saint, qui est en vous, venu de Dieu, et vous ne vous appartenez pas.
20 You are not your own property, then; you have been bought at a price. So use your body for the gloryof God.	20 Vous avez été achetés si cher! Glorifiez donc Dieu dans votre corps.
