1 Corinthians 5

1 It is widely reported that there is sexual immorality among you, immorality of a kind that is not foundeven among gentiles: that one of you is living with his stepmother.	1 ܤܟܐ ܡܫܬܡܥܐ ܒܝܢܬܟܘܢ ܙܢܝܘܬܐ ܘܕܐܝܟ ܗܕܐ ܙܢܝܘܬܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܐܦܠܐ ܒܝܬ ܚܢܦܐ ܡܫܬܡܗܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܤܒ ܒܪܐ ܐܢܬܬ ܐܒܘܗܝ ܀
2 And you so fil ed with your own self-importance! It would have been better if you had been grievingbitterly, so that the man who has done this thing were turned out of the community.	2 ܘܐܢܬܘܢ ܚܬܝܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܝܬܒܬܘܢ ܒܐܒܠܐ ܕܢܫܬܩܠ ܡܢ ܒܝܢܬܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܡܢ ܕܗܢܐ ܤܘܥܪܢܐ ܤܥܪ ܀
3 For my part, however distant I am physical y, I am present in spirit and have already condemned theman who behaved in this way, just as though I were present in person.	3 ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܟܕ ܪܚܝܩ ܐܢܐ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܒܦܓܪ ܘܩܪܝܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܪܘܚ ܡܢ ܟܕܘ ܕܢܬ ܐܝܟ ܩܪܝܒܐ ܠܗܘ ܡܢ ܕܗܕܐ ܤܥܪ ܀
4 When you have gathered together in the name of our Lord Jesus, with the presence of my spirit, and inthe power of our Lord Jesus,	4 ܕܒܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܬܬܟܢܫܘܢ ܟܠܟܘܢ ܘܐܢܐ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܒܪܘܚ ܥܡ ܚܝܠܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܀
5 hand such a man over to Satan, to be destroyed as far as natural life is concerned, so that on the Dayof the Lord his spirit may be saved.	5 ܘܬܫܠܡܘܢܗ ܠܗܢܐ ܠܤܛܢܐ ܠܐܒܕܢܐ ܕܦܓܪܗ ܕܒܪܘܚ ܢܚܐ ܒܝܘܡܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܀
6 Your self-satisfaction is il founded. Do you not realise that only a little yeast leavens the whole batch ofdough?	6 ܠܐ ܫܦܝܪ ܫܘܒܗܪܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܚܡܝܪܐ ܩܠܝܠ ܟܠܗ ܓܒܝܠܬܐ ܡܚܡܥ ܀
7 Throw out the old yeast so that you can be the fresh dough, unleavened as you are. For our Passoverhas been sacrificed, that is, Christ;	7 ܕܟܘ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܚܡܝܪܐ ܥܬܝܩܐ ܕܬܗܘܘܢ ܓܒܝܠܬܐ ܚܕܬܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܝܬܝܟܘܢ ܦܛܝܪܐ ܦܨܚܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܝܠܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܗܘ ܕܐܬܢܟܤ ܚܠܦܝܢ ܀
8 let us keep the feast, then, with none of the old yeast and no leavening of evil and wickedness, but onlythe unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.	8 ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܢܥܒܕ ܥܕܥܕܐ ܠܐ ܒܚܡܝܪܐ ܥܬܝܩܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܚܡܝܪܐ ܕܒܝܫܘܬܐ ܘܕܡܪܝܪܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܚܡܝܪܐ ܕܕܟܝܘܬܐ ܘܕܩܕܝܫܘܬܐ ܀
9 In my letter, I wrote to you that you should have nothing to do with people living immoral lives.	9 ܟܬܒܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܐܓܪܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܬܬܚܠܛܘܢ ܥܡ ܙܢܝܐ ܀
10 I was not including everybody in this present world who is sexually immoral, or everybody who isgreedy, or dishonest or worships false gods -- that would mean you would have to cut yourselves off completelyfrom the world.	10 ܠܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܥܠ ܙܢܝܐ ܕܒܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܐܘ ܥܠ ܥܠܘܒܐ ܐܘ ܥܠ ܚܛܘܦܐ ܐܘ ܥܠ ܦܠܚܝ ܦܬܟܪܐ ܘܐܢ ܠܐ ܚܝܒܝܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܐܦ ܡܢ ܥܠܡܐ ܠܡܦܩ ܀
11 In fact what I meant was that you were not to have anything to do with anyone going by the name ofbrother who is sexual y immoral, or is greedy, or worships false gods, or is a slanderer or a drunkard ordishonest; never even have a meal with anybody of that kind.	11 ܗܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܟܬܒܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܬܚܠܛܘܢ ܐܢ ܐܝܬ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܐܚܐ ܘܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܙܢܝܐ ܐܘ ܥܠܘܒܐ ܐܘ ܦܠܚ ܦܬܟܪܐ ܐܘ ܡܨܥܪܢ ܐܘ ܪܘܝ ܐܘ ܚܛܘܦ ܥܡ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܗܟܢܐ ܗܘ ܐܦܠܐ ܠܚܡܐ ܠܡܐܟܠ ܀
12 It is no concern of mine to judge outsiders. It is for you to judge those who are inside, is it not?	12 ܡܐ ܠܝ ܓܝܪ ܠܡܕܢ ܠܒܪܝܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܕܠܓܘ ܕܘܢܘ ܀
13 But outsiders are for God to judge. You must banish this evil-doer from among you.	13 ܠܒܪܝܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܢ ܘܫܘܩܠܘܗܝ ܠܒܝܫܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܢܬܟܘܢ ܀
