NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:
2 'Son of man, raise the lament for Tyre.	2 Hijo de hombre, entona una lamentación sobre Tiro.
3 Say to Tyre, "City enthroned at the gateway of the sea, agent between the peoples and the manyislands, Lord Yahweh says this: Tyre, you used to say: I am a ship perfect in beauty.	3 Tú le dirás a Tiro, la que tiene su trono sobre los puertos del mar y trafica con los pueblos hasta en las costas más lejanas: Así habla el Señor: Tiro, tú decías: «Yo soy una nave de perfecta hermosura».
4 Your frontiers were far out to sea; those who built you made you perfect in beauty.	4 Tu territorio está en el corazón del mar. Tus constructores te hicieron de una hermosura perfecta.
5 Cypress from Senir they used for al your planking. They took a cedar from Lebanon to make a mastabove you.	5 Con cipreses de Senir fabricaron para ti todo tu maderaje. Tomaron un cedro del Líbano para erigirte un mástil.
6 From oaks of Bashan they made your oars. They built you a deck of cedar inlaid with ivory from theKittim isles.	6 Con encinas de Basán hicieron tus remos. Te hicieron la cubierta de marfil incrustado en madera de pino de las costas de Quitím.
7 Embroidered linen from Egypt was used for your sail and for your flag. Purple and scarlet from theElishah islands formed your deck-tent.	7 De lino recamado de Egipto estaba hecha tu vela, para que te sirviera de estandarte. Tu toldo era de púrpura violeta y escarlata de las costas de Elisá.
8 The people of Sidon and Arvad were your oarsmen. The sages of Tyre were aboard, serving assailors.	8 Los habitantes de Sidón y de Arvad eran tus remeros. A bordo iban tus expertos, Tiro, ellos eran tus timoneles.
9 The elders and craftsmen of Gebal were there to caulk your seams. "Every sea-going ship and crewfrequented you to guarantee your trade.	9 Tenías veteranos y expertos de Guebal, para reparar tus averías. Tenías todas las naves del mar y sus marineros, para negociar tus mercancías.
10 Men from Persia, Lud and Put served as warriors in your army; hanging up shield and helmet in you,they displayed your splendour.	10 Hombres de Persia, de Lud y de Put servían en tu ejército como guerreros. Ellos colgaban de ti escudos y cascos y realzaban tu esplendor.
11 The sons of Arvad with their army manned your wal s al round, while the Gammadians manned yourtowers; hanging their shields al round your walls, they completed your beauty.	11 Hombres de Arvad, con tu ejército, defendían tus muros por todas partes, y los gamaditas, apostados en sus torres, colgaban sus escudos alrededor de tus muros, haciendo que tu hermosura fuera perfecta.
12 Tarshish traded with you because of your abundant resources and exchanged your merchandise forsilver, iron, tin and lead.	12 Tarsis comerciaba contigo por la gran abundancia de todas tus riquezas: entregaba plata, hierro, estaño y plomo a cambio de tus mercaderías.
13 Javan, Tubal and Meshech traded with you. For your merchandise they traded slaves and bronzeartefacts.	13 Javán, Tubal y Mésec traficaban contigo: entregaban esclavos y objetos de bronce a cambio de tus mercancías.
14 The people of Beth-Togarmah traded your horses, chargers, mules.	14 La gente de Bet Togarmá entregaba caballos de tiro, caballos de montar y mulos, a cambio de tus mercaderías.
15 The people of Dedan traded with you; many islands were your customers and paid you in ivory tusksand ebony.	15 Los hombres de Rodas traficaban contigo; numerosas islas participaban de tu comercio: te daban como pago colmillos de marfil y madera de ébano.
16 Edom traded with you for the sake of your many manufactured goods, exchanging garnets, purple,embroideries, fine linen, coral and rubies for your goods.	16 Edom comerciaba contigo por la abundancia de tus productos: entregaba topacio, púrpura escarlata, brocados, lino fino, corales y rubíes, a cambio de tus mercaderías.
17 Judah and the land of Israel also traded with you, bringing corn from Minnith, pannag, honey, oil andbalm.	17 Incluso Judá y la tierra de Israel traficaban contigo: entregaban trigo de Minit, mijo, miel, aceite y resina, a cambio de tus mercaderías.
18 Damascus traded with you, for quantities of your manufactured goods and other goods of al kinds,furnishing you with wine from Helbon and wool from Zahar.	18 Damasco comerciaba contigo por la abundancia de tus productos, por la abundancia de todas tus riquezas: te abastecía de vino de Jelbón y de lana de Sájar.
19 Dan and Javan, from Uzal onwards, supplied you with wrought iron, cassia and reeds in exchangefor your goods.	19 Vedán; y Javán, desde Uzal, entregaban hierro forjado, casia y caña aromática, a cambio de tus mercaderías.
20 Dedan traded with you in saddle-cloths.	20 Dedán traficaba contigo abasteciéndote de monturas.
21 Arabia and al the sheikhs of Kedar were your customers; they paid in lambs, rams and he-goats.	21 Arabia y todos los príncipes de Quedar participaban de tu comercio: negociaban contigo a cambio de corderos, carneros y chivos.
22 The merchants of Sheba and Raamah traded with you; they supplied you with the finest spices,precious stones and gold for your merchandise.	22 Los comerciantes de Sabá y de Raemá traficaban contigo: entregaban los mejores bálsamos, toda clase de piedras preciosas y oro, a cambio de tus mercaderías.
23 Haran, Canneh and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Asshur and Chilmad traded with you.	23 Jarán, Cané y Edén, los comerciantes de Sabá, Asur y Quilmad traficaban contigo:
24 They traded rich clothes, embroidered and purple cloaks, multi-coloured materials and strong plaitedcords for your markets.	24 ellos abastecían tus mercados a cambio de espléndidos vestidos, de mantos de púrpura violeta, tejidos recamados, tapices multicolores y cuerdas sólidamente trenzadas.
25 Ships of Tarshish sailed on your business; you were ful and heavily loaded far out to sea.	25 Las naves de Tarsis transportaban tus mercaderías. Te llenaste de una carga muy pesada en el corazón de los mares.
26 Out to the open sea your oarsmen rowed you. The east wind has wrecked you far out to sea.	26 Tus remeros te llevaron por las aguas profundas. Pero el viento del este te destrozó en el corazón de los mares.
27 Your riches, your goods, your cargo, your seamen, your sailors, your caulkers, your commercialagents, all the warriors you carry, and al the passengers who are aboard wil founder far out to sea on the day ofyour shipwreck.	27 Tus riquezas, tus mercancías, tus cargamentos, tus marineros y tus timoneles, los que reparan tus averías y tus gentes de comercio, todos tus hombres de guerra y toda la tripulación que llevas contigo se hundirán en el corazón de los mares el día de tu naufragio.
28 When they hear the cries of your sailors the coasts wil tremble.	28 Al oír los gritos de tus timoneles, temblarán las riberas.
29 Then the oarsmen will al desert their ships. The sailors and seafaring people wil stay ashore.	29 Entonces descenderán de sus naves todos los que empuñan los remos. Los marineros y todos los timoneles del mar permanecerán en tierra.
30 They will raise their voices for you and weep bitterly. They wil throw dust on their heads and roll inashes;	30 Ellos harán oír su clamor a causa de ti, y gritarán amargamente. Se cubrirán la cabeza de polvo y se revolcarán en la ceniza.
31 they wil shave their heads for you and put sackcloth round their waists. With heartfelt bitterness theywil weep for you, bitterly wail.	31 Se raparán los cabellos por tu causa y se ceñirán un sayal. Llorarán por ti llenos de amargura, con amargos lamentos.
32 Wailing, they will raise the lament for you, they wil lament over you: Who is like Tyre, far out to sea?	32 Entonarán una lamentación entre gemidos, se lamentarán por ti, diciendo: «¿Quién era igual a Tiro en medio de los mares?
33 When you unloaded your goods to satisfy so many peoples, you enriched the kings of the earth withyour excess of wealth and goods.	33 Cuando se desembarcaban tus mercancías enriquecías a los reyes de la tierra.
34 Now you have been wrecked by the waves, by the depths of the sea. Your cargo and all yourpassengers have foundered with you.	34 Pero ahora estás destrozada por el mar en lo profundo de las aguas. Tus mercancías y toda tu tripulación se han hundido contigo.
35 Al those who live in the islands wil be stunned at your fate. Their kings wil quake with horror, withdowncast expressions.	35 Los habitantes de las costas lejanas están consternados por ti; a sus reyes se les erizaron los cabellos y tienen el rostro demudado.
36 The merchants of the nations wil whistle at your fate. You wil be an object of terror, gone for ever." '	36 Los mercaderes de los pueblos silban a causa de ti; te has convertido en un motivo de espanto y no existirás nunca más».
