1 Giosuè era vecchio, e avanzato in età, e il Signore gli disse: Tu se' invecchiato, e se' in là cogli anni, e rimane un'ampia terra che è ancor da dividersi a sorte;	1 Now Joshua was old and advanced in years; and the LORD said to him, "You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.
2 Vale a dire tutta la Galilea, il paese de’ Filistei, e tutto quello de’ Gessuri,	2 This is the land that yet remains: all the regions of the Philistines, and all those of the Geshurites
3 Dal torbido fiume che inaffia l'Egitto fino a' confini di Accaron verso tramontana: la terra di Chanaan che è divisa tra cinque re Filistei, quel di Gaza, e quel di Azoto, quello di Ascalon, quel di Geth, e quello di Accaron;	3 (from the Shihor, which is east of Egypt, northward to the boundary of Ekron, it is reckoned as Canaanite; there are five rulers of the Philistines, those of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron), and those of the Avvim,
4 (A mezzodì de' quali sono gli Hevei); tutta la terra di Chanaan, e Maara de' Sidoni, fino ad Apheca, e ai confini degli Amorrhei,	4 in the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah which belongs to the Sidonians, to Aphek, to the boundary of the Amorites,
5 E il paese vicino: il paese ancora del Libano verso levante da Baalgad sotto il monte Hermon fino che si giunga a Emath,	5 and the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baal-gad below Mount Hermon to the entrance of Hamath,
6 E la terra di quelli che abitano nelle montagne, dal Libano fino alle acque di Maserephoth, e quella di tutti i Sidoni. Io sono, che gli sterminerò dal cospetto de' figliuoli d'Israele. Entri adunque Israele al possesso della sua eredità, come io ti ordinai.	6 all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim, even all the Sidonians. I will myself drive them out from before the people of Israel; only allot the land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.
7 E distribuisci adesso la terra che dee toccare alle nove tribù, e alla mezza tribù di Manasse.	7 Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes and half the tribe of Manasseh."
8 Con la metà di esso Manasse la tribù di Ruben, e di Gad preser possesso della terra data loro da Mosè servo del Signore di là dalla corrente del Giordano all'oriente,	8 With the other half of the tribe of Manasseh the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them:
9 Da Aroer che situata sulla riva del torrente Arnon e nel mezzo della valle; e tutta la campagna da Medaba sino a Dibon:	9 from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the tableland of Medeba as far as Dibon;
10 E tutte le città di Sehon re degli Amorrhei, che regnò in Hesebon fino a' confini dei figliuoli di Ammon:	10 and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the boundary of the Ammonites;
11 E Galaad, e i confini di Gessuri e di Machati, e tutto il monte di Hermon, e tutto Basan fino a Salecha,	11 and Gilead, and the region of the Geshurites and Ma-acathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salecah;
12 Tutto il regno di Og nel paese di Basan, il quale regnò in Astaroth, ed Edrai; egli fu un rampollo de' Raphaimi: Mosè sconfisse costoro, e li distrusse.	12 all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edre-i (he alone was left of the remnant of the Rephaim); these Moses had defeated and driven out.
13 E i figliuoli d'Israele non vollero sperdere que' di Gessuri, e di Machati: e son restati in mezzo ad Israele sino a questo tempo.	13 Yet the people of Israel did not drive out the Geshurites or the Ma-acathites; but Geshur and Maacath dwell in the midst of Israel to this day.
14 Or (Mosè) non diede nulla da possedere alla tribù di Levi; ma i sacrifizii, e le vittime del Signore Dio d'Israele sono la sua porzione, come ha detto a lei il Signore.	14 To the tribe of Levi alone Moses gave no inheritance; the offerings by fire to the LORD God of Israel are their inheritance, as he said to him.
15 Mosè adunque diede la sua porzione alla tribù de' figliuoli di Ruben secondo le loro famiglie.	15 And Moses gave an inheritance to the tribe of the Reubenites according to their families.
16 E fu loro assegnato il terreno da Aroer (che è situata sulla riva del torrente Arnon e in mezzo alla valle, dov'è quel torrente), tutta la pianura che va fino a Medaba;	16 So their territory was from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the tableland by Medeba;
17 Ed Hesebon con tutti i suoi borghi, che sono nelle pianure: e parimente Dibon, e Bamoth-baal, e la città di Baalmaon,	17 with Heshbon, and all its cities that are in the tableland; Dibon, and Bamoth-baal, and Beth-baal-meon,
18 E Jassa, e Cedimoth, e Mephaath,	18 and Jahaz, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,
19 E Cariathaim, e Sabama, e Sarathasar nel monte della valle;	19 and Kiriathaim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-shahar on the hill of the valley,
20 Bethophogor, e Asedoth, Phasga, e Bethiesimoth:	20 and Beth-peor, and the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth,
21 E tutte le città del piano, e tutti i regni di Sehon re degli Amorrhei, il quale regnó in Hesebon, il quale fu sconfitto da Mosè co' principi di Madian, Hevi, e Recem, e Sur, e Hur, e Rebe capitani di Sehon abitanti di quel paese.	21 that is, all the cities of the tableland, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses defeated with the leaders of Midian, Evi and Rekem and Zur and Hur and Reba, the princes of Sihon, who dwelt in the land.
22 (I figliuoli d'Israele fecer morir di spada insieme con tutti gli altri anche Baal figliuolo di Beor, indovino).	22 Balaam also, the son of Beor, the soothsayer, the people of Israel killed with the sword among the rest of their slain.
23 E il Giordano fu il confine de' figliuoli di Ruben. Ecco la terra, e la città, e i borghi assegnati a' Rubeniti secondo le loro famiglie.	23 And the border of the people of Reuben was the Jordan as a boundary. This was the inheritance of the Reubenites, according to their families with their cities and villages.
24 Diede poi Mosè alla tribù di Gad, e a’ figli di essa la loro porzione distribuita tra le loro famiglie, la quale in tal modo distinguesi:	24 And Moses gave an inheritance also to the tribe of the Gadites, according to their families.
25 Dentro i confini di lei è Jaser, e tutte le città di Galaad, e la metà del paese dei figliuoli di Ammon fino ad Aroer che è dirimpetto a Rabba:	25 Their territory was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites, to Aroer, which is east of Rabbah,
26 E avea da Hesebon fino a Ramoth, Masphe, e Betonim: e da Manaim fino a' confini di Dabir;	26 and from Heshbon to Ramath-mizpeh and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the territory of Debir,
27 E nella valle avea Betharan, e Bethnemra, e Socoth, e Saphon, e il rimanente del regno di Sehon re di Hesebon: ella ha parimente per suo confine il Giordano fin all’estremità del mare di Ceneroth di là dal Giordano verso levante:	27 and in the valley Beth-haram, Beth-nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, having the Jordan as a boundary, to the lower end of the Sea of Chinnereth, eastward beyond the Jordan.
28 Questo è il terreno, le città, e i villaggi posseduti dai figliuoli di Gad, distribuiti tra le loro famiglie.	28 This is the inheritance of the Gadites according to their families, with their cities and villages.
29 Diede anche la sua porzione alla mezza tribù di Manasse, e a' figliuoli di lei divisa tra le loro famiglie.	29 And Moses gave an inheritance to the half-tribe of Manasseh; it was allotted to the half-tribe of the Manassites according to their families.
30 Ella conteneva da Manaim per tutto Basan, e tutti i regni di Og re di Basan, e tutte le città di Jair, che sono nel paese di Basan, sessanta città:	30 Their region extended from Mahanaim, through all Bashan, the whole kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities,
31 E la metà di Galaad, e Astaroth, ed Edrai città del regno di Og in Basan: questo ebbero i figliuoli di Machir figliuoli di Manasse, o sia la meta de' figliuoli di Machir, famiglia per famiglia.	31 and half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edre-i, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan; these were allotted to the people of Machir the son of Manasseh for the half of the Machirites according to their families.
32 Queste porzioni le assegnò Mosè nelle pianure di Moab oltre il Giordano, dirimpetto a Gerico verso levante.	32 These are the inheritances which Moses distributed in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan east of Jericho.
33 Ma alla tribù di Levi non diè veruna porzione: perchè il Signore Dio d’Israele è egli stesso la porzione di lei conforme le disse	33 But to the tribe of Levi Moses gave no inheritance; the LORD God of Israel is their inheritance, as he said to them.
