1 Tada unesoše Kovčeg Božji i postaviše ga usred šatora koji mu bijaše razapeo David. Onda su prinijeli paljenice i pričesnice pred Bogom.	1 They brought the ark of God in and put it inside the tent which David had erected for it, and broughtburnt offerings and made communion sacrifices in God's presence.
2 Pošto je prinio paljenice i pričesnice, David blagoslovi narod Jahvinim imenom.	2 And when David had finished making burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, he blessed thepeople in the name of Yahweh.
3 Onda razdijeli svim Izraelcima, ljudima i ženama, svakome po jedan okrugao kruh, komad mesa i kolač od suhoga grožđa.	3 To all the Israelites, both men and women, to each, he then distributed a loaf of bread, a portion ofmeat and a raisin cake.
4 Onda je postavio pred Jahvinim Kovčegom službenike među levitima da uznose, slave i hvale Jahvu, Boga Izraelova, i to:	4 He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of Yahweh, to extol, glorify and praiseYahweh, God of Israel;
5 poglavara Asafa, a drugoga za njim Zahariju, zatim Jeiela, Šemiramota, Jehiela, Matitju, Eliaba, Benaju, Obed-Edoma i Jeiela s harfama i citrama; Asaf je udarao u cimbale.	5 first Asaph, second Zechariah, then Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, who played the lyre and harp, while Asaph played the cymbals.
6 Svećenici Benaja i Jahaziel bili su bez prijekida s trubama pred Kovčegom saveza Jahvina.	6 The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel continually blew the trumpet before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 Toga dana povjeri David prvi put Asafu i njegovoj braći da slave Jahvu ovom pohvalnicom:	7 On that day, David was the first to assign to Asaph and his kinsmen the giving of thanks to Yahweh:
8 »Hvalite Jahvu, prizivajte mu ime; navješćujte među narodima djela njegova!	8 Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples.
9 Pjevajte mu, svirajte mu, propovijedajte sva njegova čudesa!	9 Chant to him, play to him, sing about al his wonders!
10 Dičite se svetim imenom njegovim, neka se raduje srce onih što traže Jahvu!	10 Take pride in his holy name, let your heart rejoice, you seekers of Yahweh!
11 Tražite Jahvu i njegovu snagu, tražite svagda njegovo lice!	11 Seek out Yahweh, seek his strength, continual y seek out his presence!
12 Sjetite se čudesa koja učini, njegovih čuda i sudova usta njegovih.	12 Remember what wonders he has done, what miracles, what rulings he has given,
13 Izraelov rod njegov je sluga, sinovi Jakovljevi njegovi izabranici.	13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen one!
14 On je Jahve, Bog naš; po svoj su zemlji njegovi sudovi!	14 For he is Yahweh our God, his authority extends throughout the world.
15 Sjećajte se uvijek njegova Saveza, Riječi koju objavi tisući naraštaja;	15 For ever remember his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,
16 Saveza koji sklopi s Abrahamom i njegove zakletve Izaku.	16 which he concluded with Abraham, which was sworn by him to Isaac,
17 Ustanovi je kao zakon Jakovu, Izraelu vječni savez.	17 since he confirmed it as a law for Jacob, as an eternal covenant for Israel,
18 Govoreći: ‘Tebi ću dati kanaansku zemlju kao dio u baštinu vašu,	18 saying, 'I wil give you the country; Canaan is the measure of your inheritance,
19 kad vas još bješe malo na broju, vrlo malo, i kad bjeste pridošlice u njoj.’	19 'though you are few in number, only a few strangers there!'
20 Išli su od naroda do naroda, iz jednoga kraljevstva k drugom narodu.	20 As they wandered from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,
21 Ne dopusti nikom da ih tlači, kažnjavaše zbog njih kraljeve:	21 he would not let anyone oppress them and on their account he admonished kings,
22 ‘Ne dirajte u moje pomazanike, ne činite zla mojim prorocima!’	22 'You are not to touch my anointed ones, my prophets are not to be harmed!'
23 Pjevaj Jahvi, sva zemljo, navješćujte iz dana u dan spasenje njegovo!	23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, day after day proclaim his salvation!
24 Kazujte poganima njegovu slavu, svim narodima čudesa njegova.	24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!
25 Velik je Jahve, hvale predostojan, strašniji od svih bogova.	25 Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.
26 Ništavni su svi bozi národâ. Jahve stvori nebesa.	26 Nothingness, al the gods of the nations. Yahweh it was who made the heavens,
27 Slava je i veličanstvo pred njim, sila i radost u Svetištu njegovu.	27 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy.
28 Dajte Jahvi, narodna plemena, dajte Jahvi slavu i silu!	28 Give Yahweh his due, families of peoples, give Yahweh his due of glory and power,
29 Dajte Jahvi slavu imena njegova, nosite prinose i dolazite pred njegovo lice! Poklonite se Jahvi u sjaju svetosti njegove!	29 give Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts, bow down to Yahwehin his sacred court,
30 Strepi pred njim, zemljo sva! Učvrstio je svemir da se ne poljulja.	30 tremble before him, al the earth! The world is firm, it cannot be moved,
31 Neka se vesele nebesa i neka klikće zemlja; neka se govori među poganima: ‘Jahve kraljuje!’	31 let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king!'
32 Neka huči more i što je u njemu; nek’ se raduje polje i što je na njemu!	32 Let the sea thunder and al it holds, the countryside exult and everything that is in it,
33 Neka klikće šumsko drveće pred Jahvom, jer dolazi da sudi zemlji.	33 and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge theearth.
34 Slavite Jahvu jer je dobar, jer je vječna ljubav njegova.	34 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his faithful love lasts for ever!
35 I recite: ‘Spasi nas, o Bože, Spasitelju naš, i saberi nas i izbavi nas od bezbožnih naroda, da slavimo tvoje sveto ime, da se ponosimo tvojom slavom.	35 Say, 'Save us, God of our salvation, gather us together and free us from the nations, so that we maygive thanks to your holy name -- to be extolled whenever you are praised!'
36 Blagoslovljen Jahve, Bog Izraelov, od vijeka do vijeka!’ Sav narod neka kaže: ‘Amen! Aleluja!’«	36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! To which all the people said,'Amen, Al eluia!'
37 I ondje pred Kovčegom saveza Jahvina ostaviše Asafa i njegovu braću da služe pred Kovčegom bez prestanka, koliko treba iz dana u dan;	37 There before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh David left Asaph and his kinsmen to maintain apermanent ministry before the ark as each day's ritual required,
38 i Obed-Edoma s njegovom braćom, njih šezdeset i osam, i Obed-Edoma, Jedutunova sina, i Hosu, da budu vratari;	38 and also Obed-Edom with his sixty-eight kinsmen. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah weregatekeepers.
39 a svećenika Sadoka s njegovom braćom svećenicima pred Jahvinim Prebivalištem na uzvišici u Gibeonu	39 Zadok the priest and the priests, his kinsmen, he left before the dwelling of Yahweh on the high placeat Gibeon
40 da prinose paljenice Jahvi na žrtveniku za paljenice bez prestanka, jutrom i večerom, i da vrše sve što je napisano u Zakonu koji je Jahve odredio Izraelu;	40 to bring burnt offerings to Yahweh unfailingly, morning and evening, on the altar of burnt offering, andto carry out al that is written in the Law of Yahweh laid down for Israel.
41 s njima Hemana i Jedutuna i ostale izabrane, koji su bili poimence spomenuti, da slave Jahvu, »jer je vječna njegova ljubav«;	41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those who were chosen and assigned by nameto give thanks to Yahweh, 'for his faithful love lasts for ever'.
42 i to Hemana i Jedutuna da trube u trube i udaraju u cimbale i druga glazbala Bogu na čast; a Jedutunove sinove da budu vratari.	42 With them were Heman and Jeduthun to play trumpets and cymbals, as wel as instruments foraccompanying sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were in charge of the gates.
43 Tada se razišao sav narod, svatko svojoj kući; a David se vratio da blagoslovi svoj dvor.	43 Then al the people went back to their homes, and David went back to bless his household.
